2012 Racing Season

Saratoga Race Course Tuesday, September 4, 2012 THE DAY AFTER Total for the meet... $1214.95

We kicked our mythical bankroll up to $1200 to start the 2011 Saratoga thoroughbred race meet - and we'll hold there this season. In past years we've started with $1000, but with the 40-day meet a $1200 bankroll gives us a reasonable $30/day average. Each day we'll use this space to record our mythical best bets and calculate the accumulated wins and losses.

Yesterday...

It was yet another last week comeback! Entered the final week with a total of $743.50. The nice hit last Wednesday banged us back up to within hailing distance of positive territory and then it was a back and forth until the STOP LOSS ORDER kicked in on closing day.

Below you can follow the bet-by-bet progress through the first five races. We were going in the wrong direction early but the R1 scratch turned out to be a blessing in disguise - as our loss through the first two races was just small enough that the subsequent P4 win pushed us just into the black and triggered the STOP.

Although we had a winning late P4 - continued play would have resulted in a small loss.

So - it's not much, but once again we walk away from the season - having wagered significantly on this page during the meet - ending with a profit.

NOTE: STOP LOSS IN EFFECT: If at any time during the day we pass the $1200 mark - the plays are over and we'll stick with our profit.
