Saratoga Race Course Saturday, August 27, 2011 Total for the meet... $741.40

We're kickin' our mythical bankroll up to $1200 to start the 2011 Saratoga thoroughbred race meet. In past years we've started with $1000, but with the 40-day meet a $1200 bankroll gives us a reasonable $30/day average. Each day we'll use this space to record our mythical best bets and calculate the accumulated wins and losses.

Yesterday...

RACE ONE... $2 exacta box... Spring Party/Deanallen'skitten/My Sunshine Gal.
Ran WON-2-4... DQ'd from 2nd to 4th... If the stewards let the horse stay up on Wednesday - then this was a bad call.

RACES 1/2... $2 doubles... R1/Spring Party/Deanallen'skitten/My Sunshine Gal.... R2/Page by Page/Turf and Roses.
Collected $20.20 on the double [$20.20/$2]. Should have played the R2 exacta - our two came in at $43.80/$2.

RACE FIVE... $2 exacta box... Ballyclough/Soultown/Show Time, sub Santo Gato if scratch.
Ran WON-5-8... with our substitute rounding out the $28.80 exacta. It was one of those days.

RACE SEVEN...$5 WP on Doulbe Foxxy.
Ran 8th at 6-1.

Collected $19.20 on the ex box [$19.20/$2].
