We started the 2005 Saratoga thoroughbred race meet with a mythical bankroll of $1000. Each day we'll use this space to record our mythical best bets and calculate the accumulated wins and losses.

Yesterday...

The march to profitability continues with the remarkable Week Six performance. We came into last Monday with a season bankroll low of $286.05 -- and it's been a pleasant journey upward ever since.

Sunday we were nosed out of the early double -- missing with 9-5 Massoud in the 1st and then clicking in the 2nd with 7-1 Let Her Be. If we could have added that $5 double to our total we would have moved into the black. Our Pick plays wilted. But we grabbed a nice price on our $5 late double play when a 4-1 and 9-2 combined for the $75.50/$2 payout there. Plus we had WP on that 9-2 winner in the finale.
