Coast-to-coastTwo winners on top in those ten events (Laurel, $4.20; Gulfstream, $3.60). We were unlucky to miss another winner as Evening Attire took the worst of a bumping incident in the Campbell at Laurel and was probably the best there. However, the major disappointment of the afternoon came at Gulfstream in the Hutcheson. We went five deep with our picks -- but our plays only included the top four, unless there was a scratch. There wasn't -- but ours came in. Unfortunately that fifth pick ran second, bookended by our others in the 1-3-4 spots, completing a $79.00/$2 exacta, $574.80/$2, and a $2060.80/$2 super. Oh well, maybe next time. However, as far as superfectas go, it's worth noting that our top four combined for the $453.20 super in the Sensational Star at Santa Anita.
