Only two winners on top in nine races (Aqu, $5.30; Hol, $4.00). Our second picks won another four.

Most of the scores on the day were piddling. Our top three combined for a small exacta and tri in the Remsen. Our first and third choices brought back a decent saver exacta in the Cigar Mile. And our second and third picks also combined for a gimmick at Hollywood.

But when there's value out there to be found all you really need is to hit one or two on the day and ours was the Kentucky Jockey club at Churchill. Our 14-1 top pick was just edged late by our 6-1 second choice. The results was our top two combining for a $188.60/$2 exacta. Our 5-1 third pick followed them under the wire, so our top three picks accounted for the very generous $1029.00/$2 tri.

That was the 'game-breaker' on the day and allowed us to put together a big afternoon that capped off a big, big month of November.

Fircroft...Inconsistency calls for some faith with two wins and two poor tries in four start. But a closer look show that the duds both featured poor starts and came against the budding star Storm Flag Flying. Comes out of a good winning effort in Miss Grillo on this track at this distance.
Summer Scene...Frankel/Bailey filly broke maiden nicely last time. Tries two-turns but could be this good.
Bonay...Has yet to miss the board in six starts.

Aldebaran...Tough to put this bona fide bridesmaid in top spot -- but the record will offer some value and there's sure to be plenty of speed to shoot at.
Windsor Castle...Might look a cut below these but he's another who should get a good set-up for a late move.
Congaree...Working gangbusters and should appreciate return to dirt. It will all come down to what happens in that first quarter mile. Speed duel or someone gets free. We'll see.

Super Frolic...Wolfson youngster was 3-3 to begin career then was perhaps a bit over-matched in G3 at Keeneland. Probably a bit better than these if able to take to turf.

Magic Mecke...Very solid winning first turf effort. Will compete if able to improve at all off of that win.

Ten Cents A Shine...Just going for a value play here with many makes stakes debut and trying trip for first time. This guy had a solid debut and 2YO's often make a nice Beyer jump second start out of the box -- if he's able to he'll be right there.
