Yesterday [Sunday]

2-9. Ten race card - but R7 was declared a 'no contest'. Two-turn turf race and the primary tractor malfunctioned, so they had to attach the back-up tractor to pul both tractor and gate off of the stretch. That was still happening as the field approached the final turn and an outrider was waving off the riders -- and some riders pulled up their mounts. Subsequently the gate was successfully moved and some of the field continured on through the stretch -- but the stewards made the correct call given the circumstances. 'No contest'.

Winners in R2 [4.60], R5 [5.00] and R8 [4.20]. Also R2 ... ACDB 4.60 x 19.20 t 71.50 s 137.00; R3 ... DCx x 61.50; R5 ... ABC 5.00 x 6.60 t no tri only picked tnree -- only four ran; R9 ... ECDAx 54.00 t 192.50 s 452.00.

Attendance: 18849. Continued sunny, hot and humid.

Today

FIRST RACE
Proven Innocent...Some a little oomph on the flat and broke through over the jumps last time.
Freedy Flintshire...Similar scenario to top pick.
Ancient times...Maybe tries to steal this.
Spring Heeled Jim.

SECOND RACE
Knot Anymore...Has some good number vs better (? - were those out-of-towners really better? Hmm.)
Daily Briefing...Seems capable with this bunch.
Bell On Her Toes...Back to what looks like the proper level.
Big Tony's Girl.

THIRD RACE
Weyheill Farm Rd...Didnt' show much in debut - but winner that day could be a good one. Moves to turf. Sibs tended to show early talent.
Disarmed...Sib Mask Zorro finished 13,8,1 to start career but overall was 16-7-2-0 in Japan.
Twenty Six Black...Trainer OK with firsters.
Vince the Prince.
Dirt: 6-2-1-7-8.

FOURTH RACE - G2 $200K Honorable Miss Hcp
Bella Sofia...Hard to fault the 8-6-1-0 record and 2-2 this year.
Frank's Rockette...Just missed to top pick last time.
Kimari.

FIFTH RACE
Forwardly...Just doing an amateur timing job watching the video of latest it looks legit. Should go well here.
Mooney Love...Euro-invader should fit.
Dante's Fire...Third start back.
Neotropic.
Dirt: 7-3-2-5-4.

SIXTH RACE
Disruption...Sire is win-early. Trainer is win-early. Sib Kept Waiting took five starts to win - went on to win five time in first eleven starts.
Recognize...Sire off to a very good start. Sib Major spin was 6,1 to start. Sib Last Minute Mario 2,5,1.
Danseur d'Oro...Same win-early sire as Recognize.
Banterra.
Gambling girl.

SEVENTH RACE
Mirth n Merriment...Turf Beyers fit here.
Fish Mooney..Should fit with this bunch.
Hatari...Won lone start for a tag.
Vintage Girl.

EIGHTH RACE
O'Gotten Girl...Inconsistent and making a notable drop but has back numbers that will take this field.
Preposterous...Turf to dirt. Route to sprint. Potent class move.
Unlock...Two back was probably a more reliable result to expect.
Saratoga Commando.

NINTH RACE
Messidor...Seems interesting on a best effort.
Amalfi Princess...In good form.
High Opinion...ML fave steps out of stakes and probably is the one to beat.
Evvie Jets.
Dirt: 9-8-4-2.

TENTH RACE
Liquidity Provider...Sire good with firster. So are the owner/trainer team. Sib Taylers Chrome 4,3,1 to start.
Adam's Angel...Expensive yearling buy was second in debut. Off since that Nov start and might come back improved.
Course Runner...Gunn Runner second time starter.
Glitter Up.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
