Weather: Sunny and warm - and still a little humid. Remarkable note on the weather: Hurricance remnants hit the area Tuesday night and dumped quite a bit of rain -- but the new drainage system on the main track was validated with "fast" being the track condition label for Wednesday's opener.

Macho Jack...One of those class moves that can make you go either way. Perhaps an edge on these - but also perhaps a question mark on the drop.
Boss Life...Showed some life last time.
Cause I Said So...Seems better than the last effort.

Keota...Has the edge on back Beyers.
Jades Gelly...Just behind top pick last time.
Grudge...Caught late at this trip here last time - albeit vs claimers.
Overheated.

THIRD RACE
My Sacred Place...Turf-to-dirt. Cut back. Blinkers on.
Star of the West...Moving to the $16K level gets this one perhaps closer to the maiden-breaker performance.
No More Miracles...If ready off the layoff.
I Saw It All.

FOURTH RACE
Catch a Cab...Won a similar event two back.
Dr Shane...Meanwhile this one is moving to this level and might appreciate the competition.
Nutzforboltz...AE. Also dropping to this price tag.

FIFTH RACE
Shesadirtdancer...Has a couple sibs that took three and four starts to win.
Guardian Moon...Trainer does well with firsters and has a good work coming in.
Going Going Gone...Maybe enough experience to be closer today.

SIXTH RACE
Gesture...Another half-step down the claiming ladder.
Wicked Title...Also getting what looks like potent class-relief.
La Negrita...Off the lastest.

SEVENTH RACE
Mighty Scarlett...Lightly-raced over the past two seasons - with no wins, but looks like a good fit with these.
Hungry Kitten...Ran lifetime best last time.
Dyna Passer...Another that looks competitive with this group.

EIGHTH RACE - $100K New York Stallion Series/Cab Calloway
Jolting Joe...Ky-bred faces NY-breds for first time under Stallion Series rules. Second behind the likes of King Guillermo and Art Collector earlier.
Dream Bigger...Tries turf - but a talented NY-bred stakes winner.
Fresco...Won a similar event earlier in the meet.
Turbo Drive.
Dirt: 5-6-3.

NINTH RACE
Elusive Ruler...Looks likely to contend on the move in for a tag.
Catorat...Decent try vs similar in seasonal debut.
Tikhvin Flew...Hmm lone turf try was a dud but fits if that was a fluke.
