Ooph! Second whiff of the meet?!?! Part of the problem was the bibllical rainstorm that hit the track shortly before the post for R1. That race, a steeplechase, was eventually postponed and will be run on Monday. The remainder of the card was run - but turf races were moved to the main track and we didn't make any off-the-turf selections - based on the weather forecast of some minor pop-up showers during the afternoon. Yikes! It poured - a couple of times - from prior to the start of racing until early in the card. And our picks offered little.
18,288 attended and were able to enjoy and sunny and warm day - after the rain cleared at about the mid-card point.
Taste NY: Craft Beer each Friday from noon to 5pm in the Saratoga Pavilion. Sampling fee applies.
FIRST RACE
Mish Mosh...Might prove to be a crafty claim - likes this track.
Great Attack...Drops for Jacobson.
Partly Mocha...Fits on the class relief.
Strong Impact.
Dirt: 7-2-11-9.

Killarney Rose...Just behind Summer Chant last time.
Hundred Year Storm.
Break Away.
Kitten's Angel.
Antrim Colleen.
Dirt: 13-7-3-5.
THIRD RACE
Jet Majesty...Seems a good fit here. Moves turf-to-dirt but dirt start last Nov was good enough.
Desert Bliss...Also moves from grass but suspect she'll outrun ML odds.
Champagne Ruby...Should be competitive with these.
Run a Dubb Dubb.
FOURTH RACE - $100K Curlin
Tommy Macho...Lightly-raced Pletcher trainee has flashed talent. Cross-entered at MNR.
Stanford...Also Pletcher and already a stakes winner. Dangerous -- but also cross-entered at MNR.
Smart Transition...Competition in stakes debut was sneaky good. Might benefit from that effort.
Tekton.
FIFTH RACE
Indian Trail...Improved on stretchout.
Captain Tim...On the latest number.
Arbitrator...Also tossed a good number last time - albeit behind Captain Tim.
Godolphin entry.
Gangster.
SIXTH RACE
I'll Call...Augustin runner needing to step it up off of a couple of mid-Atlantic starts -- like these better when Sheppard trains but we'll take a shot.
Da Big Hoss...Crafty claim?
Global Strike...In good form.
Artic North.
Dirt: 10-7-6-5-3.
SEVENTH RACE
Tennesee...$1mil+ purchase stretches out to 7F after near-miss in Feb debut.

Revelation.
EIGHTH RACE
Tripski...Tepid nod in a very tough race to predict.

Great Minds...Solid form when last seen.
Sandy'z Slew.
Brickyard Kitten.
Dirt: 3-6-14-9.
NINTH RACE
Touchofstarquality...Should be some pace and perhaps this one picks up the pieces.
Cousin Stephen...Potential duel with Big Looie? If no duel then this one is dangerous.
Catholic Cowboy...Also has some closing punch.
Matterhorn.
TENTH RACE
Hardcore...Good second after leading in debut and flattered by the winner that day running off three stakes wins subsequently.
May Flowers...Has run well on turf.
Sweet Fortune...Might be ready to roll in debut.
She Hung the Moon.
Dirt: Same plus 2-8-7.
