3-11. Finally put together a solid afternoon. Three winners on top [R5, $7.00; R7, 8.20; R10, 3.90]. And the exotics were coming fast and furiously! R2... BACD x 26.80 t 68.00 s 255.50... R2 ... BAx x 23.80 DD 58.50... R3 ... BCx x 26.40... R4 ... DCx x 22.80... R8 .. CAD x 144.00 t 710.00... R9 ... Cd-Ab-De-Ef "A" scr x 25.40 t 395.50 s 1902.00... R10 ... ACB "D" scr x 10.40 t 31.00... R11 ... CAB x 135.50 t 442.00.

The killer was our clever pick in R6, Mott firster Rebelle at 15-1. By mid-stretch the winner was clear - and it wasn't ours -- a quick scan of the PPs to find out who it was and --- DOH! --- it was the other Mott firster, at 11-1! Rebelle did get up late for second - which took some of the sting out.

Attendance reported at 29,947 - but it was also a baseball cap giveaway day. Weather was a little bit muggy - but sunny and warm.

Star Dynasty...On the class drop.
Selective Memory...Similar angle to top pick.
No Shanks...Better than the latest effort indicates.

Johannesburg Smile...Jacobson. Class drop. Third start back.
Jeter...Solid fit at this level.
Chapman...Moves from Open alw to NY-bred claimer.
Wild finish.

THIRD RACE
Sweet Whiskey...Moves out of G1 company - class edge.
Jubiliant Vision...Second best on current form.
Court Dancer...Might be the clever play in here - but needs a best effort.
Medaglia d'Argento.

FOURTH RACE
Often...Sibling to Giant's Causeway ran 5th of 23 in Europe debut. Interesting on move to this side of the Atlantic.
Honey Chile Ryder...If we can get that 15-1 ML on this Pletcher trainee we'll be thrilled. Seems live on the stretchout.
Tiztalented...Tepid vote for the third slot.

Natalie Victoria...Perhaps a front-end theft?
Amulay...Also has some speed.
Samantha Nicole... Full sib to 2009 HOTY Rachel Alexandra might picks up the pieces if there's a duel.

Vischer Ferry...Hmmm - back to dirt with speed.
Thank You...Has back numbers that fit.

Bold Thunder... Vanquished the venerable Ben's Cat four back. Dud last time but improvement expected.

Conquest Superstep...Might be primed off the layoff.
Corner Three...Solid debut win.

NINTH RACE
My Friend Keith...Trainer going well early in the meet and this one has popped off two good efforts at this level recently.
Priest N the Rabbi...The kind of race where a firster can do some damage - but concerned about the drop from the purchase price.
Holy Week...Back to grass.
Spun Hard.
