Don't forget to check out the Challenge page where we started the month with a mythical $1200 bankroll and attempt to increase that amount as the Saratoga season continues.

Yesterday

2-10. Winners in R4 [4.30] and R7 [4.00]. Gimmicks: R3 ...DABC x 47.00 t 93.50 s 274.00; R6 ... DAB x 96.00 t 569.00.

10300 attended. Something different weather-wise -- it was cloudy all day long. Temps were comfortable. It was mostly precipitation-free -- but a downpour hit the track between R9 and R10.

Fans showed their appreciation with a hearty round of applause as the legend, Allen Jerkens entered the winner's circle after taking the $100 Saratoga Dew for the second year in a row with Go Unbridled. Media and fans alike were waiting with anticipation after the victory - the winning Go Unbridled circling outside the winner's circle -- and as that "circling time" extended it became clear that we were waiting and Jerkens would make an appearance -- and, sure enough, applause wafted through the crowd behind the winner's circle and then Jerkens was there. As announcer Tom Durkin noted that Jerkens had been winning races since "Harry Truman was President of the United States" the crowd in and around the winner's circle broke into extended applause. A nice Saratoga moment.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
