3-10. Winners in the 3rd [6.20], 5th [7.40] and 8th [6.30]. A really nice day if folks delved into the picks a little bit with two of the top three selections combining for exactas in six of the ten races. [R1 ... CADB x 42.40 t 227.00 s 654.00; R2 ... CBx x 42.20; R4 ...BCAE x 46.60 t 116.00 no super; R5 ... ACx "D" scr x 36.80; R6 ... CBA x 33.60 t 58.00; R7 ... DAB x 52.50 t 186.50; R8 ... ACx x 24.40].
Things would have been a lot better if our Sheppard Special had a clean trip. Angel Terrace went off at 6-1 [down from 12-1 ML] in the featured Waya [R9]. Bottled up but looking like she had plenty of run in the lane - things took a turn for the worse when all momentum was lost at about the sixteenth pole when she was bothered by another. From the chart: "...finished willingly but lost any chance." Ouch!

The opening session of the Fasig-Tipton yearling sales kicked off at 7pm on Monday night. The place was jam-packed for much of the evening - so crowded that it was tough to walk through the backyard bar mob scene for awhile. Monday's results were positive and the crowd was treated to a couple of sales that reached seven figures.
No racing. Dark day.
Fasig-Tipton sales continue tonight at 7pm ET. Sale pavilion is on East Ave just down the street from the track.
