Don't forget to check out the Challenge page where we started the month with a mythical $1200 bankroll and attempt to increase that amount as the Saratoga season continues.

Yesterday

3-11. Winners in the 3rd [3.10], 5th [3.60], and 11th [9.00]. The only races to crow about were the three where our "A" selection won - but those were three nice races for the picks. In both R3 and R5 we went A-B-C for cold exactas and tri's [R3, x 8.60, tri 1940; R5 x 11.20, t 18.40]. And in the nightcap, the 11th we went A-B-C-D for the cold super [x 37.80, t 123.00, s 715.00].

The weekend completed with yet another nice crowd - 24,133 enjoyed a warm and sunny afternoon.

On-track, an odd finish for the Godolphin runner Consortium in R4. The 8-5 second choice dueled through some quick early fractions with eventual winner and fave [7-5] Majestic Hussar before giving way into the stretch and fading down the lane. Consortium then collaped past the finish line and lay motion-less on the track for a few minutes. But vets were quick on the scene and happily the horse revived, got up, and walked off the track under its own power.

Today

FIRST RACE
Winning Touch...Question marks all over this lightly-raced 6YO - just couldn't find an alternative that attracted me.
Precious Metal...Could be the 'other' Jacobson.
Jacobson entry...Pure Attitude looks to fit here off the claim. Irish Lion could be interesting dropping and going tirf-to-dirt.
Martini Madness.

SECOND RACE
Rum Tum Tugger...Beyers are going the wrong way - but it's Sheppard, and hey, won't have to be much amongst this bunch.
Countercyclical...As noted - not a field of world-beaters in here, so why not go for the fresh face?
Boogie Too...Went well at $35K - takes another step down.
Spintastic.

THIRD RACE
King Cyrus...Has some win-early type punch.
Chisholm...If they actually run him back this quickly he wold be hard to ignore.
Live Oak entry...Souperfast probably preferred.
Tightly Bridled.

FOURTH RACE
Hoboken Joe...Maybe a little bit of a Beyer edge on these.
Greeley Pack... Turf is the question mark - but they've tried to get him there a couple of times before.
Slimshady...Probably fits.
Freud's Pleasure.
Seljuk.

FIFTH RACE
Dancing for Glory...In for a tag today - and trainer seemed to heat up yesterday, especially on grass.
Blossom's Trail...Back in proper spot.
Eddy Gourmet...Should compete with these.
Corporate Culture.

SIXTH RACE
Bobby Jo...Should appreciate the cutback.
My Spraky...First off the claim for Rudy.
Miss Mischief...Dutrow runner probably needs to step it up a notch - but is lightly-raced and should have upside.

SEVENTH RACE
Sneaky Kitten...Seems like a cozy spot back on grass for this one.
Mia Poppy...The one to catch?
Fourseventeen...Capable on best.
Jonrah.

EIGHTH RACE - $100K Shine Again
Holiday Soiree...Gos first out for Pletcher and might have a slight class-edge here.
Apropos...Numbers say she's the one to beat - will have to overcome the inside post.
Delightful Quality...yet to miss the trifecta.
Well Kept.

NINTH RACE - $100K Waya
Angel Terrace...Could be a Sheppard Special. Certainly worked out that way for us when this one keyed a monster P3 at KEE at 27-1 last Oct. Capable of the surprise with the move back to grass.
Qushchi...Been right in the mix since arriving stateside.
Kissable...Probably a little better than the US record indicates.
Mystical Star.

TENTH RACE
Ramsey entry...Broken Trust Fund is preferred but will have to get in from AE's.
Sheza Heartbreaker...Went well last two at BEL.
Lady's Lunar Luck...Also going well most recently.
Sally's Dream.
Pagan Priestess.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
