Don't forget to check out the Challenge page where we started the month with a mythical $1200 bankroll and attempt to increase that amount as the Saratoga season continues.

Yesterday

0-10. OOOfff. Shot an oh-fer -- but only have ourselves to blame -- somehow we missed including the G3 Shuvee here on the page and, yep, that was our one winner [Corrected last few from Saturday at the bottom of this page]. Obviously we can't take the "W" however.

It was frustrating - with our top pick running second three times and our second pick winning three. However, mixing up the picks produced some OK exacta results.

19,138 attended. The weather was still hot and humid early - although noticeably better than the last few days. Intermittent showers hit briefly toward the latter part of the mid-card period and temps and humidity moderated slightly after that. The Hats Off musis fest went on as planned downtown.

Today

Hat contest. Kreative Kids, Fashionably Saratoga and Uniquely Saratoga categories. Registration begins at noon under the grandstand

FIRST RACE
Sing the Dream...Nature and nuture both seem precocious. Worked 10.1 before May sale.
Tapidor...Sib to the talented Icabad Crane. That one won its first two.
Double Gold...Little bit of breeding punch - and the trainer can have them ready.
Thug Daddy.

SECOND RACE
Red Vine...Slight nod in a contentious heat. Just missed in debut.
All That...Has some win-early breeding - could be interesting on grass.
First Beach...Number improved nicely with the switch to turf.
Mio d'Oro.

THIRD RACE
Derby Watch...Might take them all the way.
School Spirit...BIG win last time to break maiden. An aberration - or did the light bulb turn on?
Thinking of Girls...Back on dirt and should fit with these.
Marriedtothemusic.

FOURTH RACE
Uno Duo...Just missed in first start vs winners.
Pow Wow Wow...Capable on best.
Neith...Showed some life at CD last time and should fit with this bunch.
Street Crew.

FIFTH RACE
Tater Downs...Might have a slight edge here is able to fire one of his better numbers.
Wild Billum...Improved on turf.
Summit County...Drops back to winning level.
Santa Elf.

SIXTH RACE
Won'tualwayswonder...Maker/Ramsey dropper.
Easy Reach...Jumper could be interesting if able to show the same early speed on the flat. That is a big "if" however.
Vinny Goodtimes...Just missed vs slightly better in debut.
Acadian Connection.
Rugged Rascal.

SEVENTH RACE
Atlantic's Smile...Improved on turf.
Transplendid...Has a closing kick and fired a lifetime best Beyer last time.
As Well...Another that might be primed to pop.
Chow Fun.

EIGHTH RACE - Fiddlers Patriot $100k
Tightend Touchdown...Bona fide stakes-quality turf sprinter.
Great Attack...First start back since trying Dubai.
Longhunter...Brings in a solid three-race streak - but class is the question.
Doctor Chit.

NINTH RACE - Sanford G2 $200K Debt Ceiling...Hard to fault on the record.
Wired Bryan...Convincing debut win. Place horse came back to win by seven here on Opening Day.
All in Blue...Another with a good-looking maiden win. Pletcher trains.
Southern Blessing.

TENTH RACE
She's Stones Sis...Might appreciate the cutback.
What the Frost...Solid in the maiden-breaker.
City Gone Wild...Capable on best effort.
Make the Moment.

Saturday corrected last three - with the Shuvee included

NINTH RACE - Shuvee Hcp G3 $200K Authenticity...
Summer Applause...
Eblouissante...
Royal Lahaina.

TENTH RACE - CCA Oaks G1 $300K
Unlimited Budget...Steps back to a better trip and returns to facing females.
Princess of Sylmar...Big effort in the G1 Ky Oaks - but the number makes us wonder if it was an aberration.
Marathon Lady...Only off the board finish was the career debut.
My Happy Face.

ELEVENTH RACE
Velvet Cap...Steep drop from win-hungry owner.
Road Agent...A little less of a drop for red-hot trainer.
Vee's Accolade...Also dropping for Jacobson.
Drum Roll.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
