Here we go!

Yesterday

5-10. A nice start to the meet with winners in the 3rd [$3.00], 4th [3.80], 5th [4.20], 6th [11.20], and our 2.20-1 second choice Brazen Persuasion in the 9th, the featured G3 Schuylerville, lost some value when dead-heating for the win [2.80] - but, held for the win. Overall, perhaps a little bit chalky for us - but we still managed a 25% ROI from the winners-on-top selections.

21,935 attended. Weather was oppressively hot and humid - but sunny. The nearby post-race watering holes did a good business - but that only last until a brief, torrential downpour hit well after dark. That put a ki-bosh on the downtown Hats Off music fest.

Today

Hats Off music fest will continue downtown - weather permitting - from 7-11pm.

FIRST RACE
Heart of New York...Probably needs to step it up a bit but has shown some flashes of talent.
Moonlit Sonnet...Seems the one to beat off of the last two Beyers.
Flirtatious Spring...Likely better than latest and might show it witha bonafide two-turn race.
Mela Dramatically.

SECOND RACE
Insighting...Certainly looked good sprinting in career debut.
Asset Inflation...Also needs to rebound to career debut effort -- might be interesting on grass.
Poppy's Watching...Last seemed to indicate good form - but it was against claimers.
Slimshady.

THIRD RACE
Wave Theory...Could be primed to go well.
Broken Spell...Might be well-spotted here.
Caroline Thomas...Seems talented but still waiting for the breakout performance.
Silsita.
Kitten's Queen.

FOURTH RACE
Pie's First Lady...AE list. Lightly-raced. Goes out for a turf-sprint specialist trainer.
Amber Morning...Has some precocious breeding.
Hot Rendezvous...Could be primed to go well.
Therapy.
Echulath.

FIFTH RACE
Toy Cannon...Look for our buddy, Sirius/XM's Steve Byk, in the winner's circle after this one. Seems ready to fire a good one.
Noosh's Tale...Nice closing kick.
Poliziotto...Also likely to be heard from late.
Read the Proposal.

SIXTH RACE
Integrity...Did the light bulb turn on last time - or did he freak in the mud? We'll know more after this.
Power World...Solid, lifetime best Beyer in 4YO debut.
Night Maneuver...Also came through with a career best effort last time.
Leave of Absence.

SEVENTH RACE
Soul House...Back to more appropriate level and still some upside with only three lifetime starts.
Captain Davrick...Solid win in first try vs state-breds.
Crackerjack Jones...Could be any kind.
Charlie's Punch.

EIGHTH RACE
Scam...Could be interesting first time out of the box - although the 7F trip is a tough way to debut.
Del Mar Sunset...Sometimes experience counts and this one showed some flashes for Baffert in SoCal.
Malibu Master... Always like firsters by Malibu Moon.
Miraculousmo.

NINTH RACE - CCA Oaks G1 $300K
Unlimited Budget...Steps back to a better trip and returns to facing females.
Princess of Sylmar...Big effort in the G1 Ky Oaks - but the number makes us wonder if it was an aberration.
Marathon Lady...Only off the board finish was the career debut.
My Happy Face.

TENTH RACE
Velvet Cap...Steep drop from win-hungry owner.
Road Agent...A little less of a drop for red-hot trainer.
Vee's Accolade...Also dropping for Jacobson.
Drum Roll.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
