Yesterday

No racing. Dark day.

The Fasig-Tipton Select Sale concluded Tuesday night. There was another large crowd onhand enjoying the warm weather and the social aspect of the event. A daughter of champ Wait A While was the sales-topper at $1.575mil.

Today

FIRST RACE
Physical Delivery...One of my favorite Saratoga angles is the Klaravich 2YO sale runner -- and I let one slip by me on Monday. Not again. Sire is OK with firsters and dam produced Half Nelson which was second in debut and won next. This one worked 10.2 before auction.
Kitty Panda...Nature and nuture with some win-early breeding and a trainer that gets them ready.
Discreet Marq...AE. Should be a win-sooner-rather-than-later type with Discreet Cat on top.
Spinit to Winit.
Wildcat's Element.

SECOND RACE
Jess Not Jesse...Solid in an abbreviated season last year. Question mark is the layoff but looks to have found a field that he can compete against even if not 100%. Not a gimme however.
Little Nick...Has plenty of speed and looks like the one to beat.
Slews Big Finale...The 'other' Linda Rice. Could prove interesting on the cutback.
Saints alive.

THIRD RACE
Elena's Master...Scat Daddy on top and the dam's only other foal was a first-out winner (in June in a mdn clmr at Charles Town).
Open Mic...Sire and trainer are win-early.
My Emma/No More Fives...Both have the potential to be ready to roll and My Emma will take plenty of action with Pletcher in his corner - I just wanted to take a shot against because the debut for a tag raised some questions. But a win here wouldn't be a shocker.
Patty Anne Sissy.

FOURTH RACE
Momentum Investor...Seems on the improve and ran well with move to grass.
Brooklyn Legend...Makes a class-drop on the return. Could be best if ready - but... the tag is far less than the purchase price. Hmmm.
Revere...Popular in the claim box and has run well vs better - but didn't do much in a somewhat similar race last time.
Big Red Talent.

FIFTH RACE $100K NY Stallion Series
King Kreesa...Seems solid on the turf record.
Sportswriter...Well behind the top pick in last grass start. Probably better on dirt - but might have a class-edge on some others in here.
Goodtime Boy...Capable on best.
Western Tryst.
The Snickers Kid.

SIXTH RACE
Malibu Holiday...Gets the nod on the class-relief.
Union Victory...Has some speed and drops to lowest level since debut.
Royal Start...In from CD off the claim and should fit with these.
Tanglewood Tale.

SEVENTH RACE
Post Pattern...On the improve and gets the nod off of the near-miss.
Alarmed Ndangerous...Seems in good form.
Mr Cowboy...Has shown some life.
Why Not Whiskey.

EIGHTH RACE $100K Mandys Gold
My Miss Aurelia...Last year's 2YO filly champ makes her return and looks well-spotted to stay undefeated.
Ullapool...Steps up in class but has been going well.
Ageless...Might appreciate the return to sprinting.
Well Kept.

NINTH RACE
Hysterical Cat...Might be interesting on the front-end.
Toy Cannon...Improved markedly on the turf.
John Joe...Flopped against winners - but maiden-breaker was good. Another chance.
Roaring Conquest.

TENTH RACE
Four Reds...We'll roll the dice a little here and go with the 'fresh face factor'. In a field full of multiple-time 'losers' this guy attracts some attention on the breeding. Steady string of turf works. Seems like an OK spot to take a shot.
Santonio d'Oro...Eligible to wake-up on the drop.
Griffin Rock...Last couple have shown some promise.
Master of Markets.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
