Don't forget to check out the Challenge page where we started the month with a mythical $1200 bankroll and attempt to increase that amount as the Saratoga season continues.

Yesterday

3-11. Winners in the 4th [$6.20], 7th [$3.00], and 10th [$5.10]. C-A-B in the 6th for the exacta [$12.80/$2] and tri [$19.00]. In the 9th it was the third selection over second pick [C-B-x] for the exacta [$68.00]. In the 10th it was a cold A-B-C exacta [$19.20] and tri [$91.50]. And we rounded the day out with a reverse exacta in the 11th [$27.80].

16,687 attended. There was plenty o' green in the crowd for the 'Mid-Summer St Patrick's Day' event. And remarkably the winning owner of R3 was... Wait for it... Lucky Shamrock Stable! Weather was sunny, warm and humid.

Today

Family Fun Friday: Features a variety of free family-friendly activities... Backyard playground area from noon to 4pm

FIRST RACE
Joonbi...Drops first off claim for owner shopping for meet title.
Emily Allstar...Also drops. Has some closing punch.
My Irish Girl...And speaking of owners - this one goes for nation's topper. They've hit the board in three of four starts at this met but have yet to win.
Media Starlett/Victoria Lynn.

SECOND RACE
With Honorandgrace...Has some interesting breeding and a couple of nice works coming into this.
Neck of the Moon...Also has some win-early breeding.
Grand Lely Drive...Lightly-worked for debut but might come out running.
Carameaway.
On dirt: Same plus Shea Darby, Sassy Expression.

THIRD RACE
Bronze Beauty...Flopped in SoCal debut - but 10.1 work before auction sale last year and 7/20 bullet say this one might have more talent than that first start indicated. Greed and Fear...Drops off of a nice try in MSW company.
Smart Believer...Certainly some win-early breeding. Sib Believe in AP was stakes-placed.
Darnley Bay.

FOURTH RACE
Harbor Breeze...Must overcome rail post but won from that hole at GP this winter.
Off the Jak...Might be interesting outside speed.
Blind Hope...Eligible to stalk and pounce but last two were probably easier than this.
Iron Lou.

FIFTH RACE
Jocosity...AE. Stakes-placed maiden. Winner of last is 3-3 and a 2-time stakes winner.
Central Banker...Has some solid breeding top and bottom.
Midnight Taboo...Plenty of punch on top with Langfuhr. Purchased for $240K by connections that can get it done early. Dam hasn't done much though.
Sky Commander.
Judge Wylie.

SIXTH RACE
AP Hutchy...Improved on turf.
It's Your Dime...Debut was one to build on.
Drinksonthehouse...Could be primed in third start back.
Jitney.
Cape Cod Carol.
On dirt: Same plus, Notesfromabroad, Milkyyourway.

SEVENTH RACE
Barrymore...Right there in first two. Adds blinkers.
Suns Out Guns Out...Class relief.
Current Design...Trainer likely to get a good effort first off the claim.
Twigazuri Strait.
Southern Joy.
Wild Target.

EIGHTH RACE $100K Johns Call
Tahoe Lake...Should be a good fit here.
Harrods Creek...Marathon trip veteran. Too far back last time.
Ballet Boy...Certainly will have the fitness.
Hailstone.

NINTH RACE $200K G2 Honorable Miss
It's Me Mom...Case can be made for many in here - but ultimately it will come down to jocks decisions in first furlong - and there's no way to predict that. This one has plenty of speed and could be in a good spot from an outside post. But there is certainly the possibility of a pace meltdown in here. Wild 7/30 bullet can both inspire - and frighten, was it too fast?
CCs Pal...Could stalk and take advantage if things do fall apart.
Winning Imaged...More speed.
Beat the Blues.
Roman Treasure.

TENTH RACE
Ultimate Class...Has shown flashes of speed which might be more pronounced on the class drop.
Glory in Motion...Solid two back in a similar race.
Stray Bullet...Moves out of NY-bred alw in to open clm - and went well around this class level four back.
Classical Fashion.
Night Brigade.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
