Yesterday

3-9. Winners in the 3rd [$3.10], 6th [$3.30], and 8th [$6.30]. Cold exacta in the 6th [$10.60/$2]. A number of other gimmicks boxing up the selections a little deeper in some of the other races.

A nice Friday crowd of 18,902 attended to enjoy the late afternoon/early evening twilight card. Plenty of younger fans were in attendance to take advantage of the College Day promotion. Weather was warm and humid. And the humidity kept the main track from drying out after overnight rain. Even though there was no precip during the race card, the main track was still labeled 'muddy' by the time the finale was run. All turf races - except for the stake - were moved to the main track.

Today

Jim Dandy and Diana will be shown on MSG+ from 5pm ET.

FIRST RACE
Westshore...Saratoga record doesn't look good - but that second-place finish was behind the talented Winslow Homer in the 2010 Curlin. Serious class relief here.
Raison d'Etat...Finished second in the 2011 edition of the Curlin. Has shown flashes. Question mark is fitness off of thr layoff.
Hoist...Could be the one to catch.
Big Screen.

SECOND RACE
Charming Kitten...Nature and nuture in his corner for debut.
Electromagnetic...Always like to roll the dice with these firsters from new sires. Trainer can have them ready. Could juice things up value-wise.
Western Sadler...Of those with experience this one could prove interesting on the stretchout.
Bernie the Jet.
Secret Soul.
Newfound Zapper.
On dirt: Use the two MTOs on top, in order, El Duro, Boston Proper over the same as above.

THIRD RACE
Gulfport...Looks logical off of the debut effort.
Pass the Pico...If the top pick does falter this one could benefit - and anyone other than the top pick will add some nice value to the play.
North Slope...Win-early breeding and the trainer can have them ready. Sib Next Page took nine to win, but was second in debut.
Honorable Dillon.

FOURTH RACE
Coffee Boy...Bridesmaid in the three since calimed by Asmussen - but seems to have an edge here off of the last two at CD.
Laysh Laysh Laysh...First-off the claim for owner/trainer combo that play the game well.
Crown the Chief...Another first off the claim for yet another potent owner.
King Rock.

FIFTH RACE
Associate...Won latest and - only three starts back, ran third to The Factor in G1 Malibu.
Flat Bold...Also comes out of a win - over an off-track to boot. Been staking for most of the recent racing career - now drops to lowest level showing on page.
Gallant Fields...Probably better than latest and might bounce back on the cutback.
Power World.

SIXTH RACE
Cameron Canyon...Needs to rebound to the two starts prior to the latest.
Rockheaded...Back on dirt and some class relief.
Adriatic Spirit...He's spent most of the career on turf but is eligible to go well on dirt at this level.
El Cuadro.
Geantor.

SEVENTH RACE
Pianist...Solid in maiden=breaker.
Onepointhreekarats...Has early speed.
Draw It...Ended 2011 with some promise. Season opener not as good but wouldn't be a shock here.
Kitty Wine.
On dirt: Draw It, Onepointhreekarats, Tapit Dancer, Thisizparta, Town Flirt.

EIGHTH RACE
Thescreenisred...Could be interesting with the return to turf.
Subtle...Has some early foot.
Princess Jenny...Likely to go well with Dominguez onbboard.
Desert Bliss.
Dancing Winner.
On dirt: Same.

NINTH RACE - G1 $600K Diana
Zagora...Defending champ in this race. Gets a slight nod in a tough race.
Dream Peace...Might rate higher except the Singapore trip in May means this one has racked up thefrequent flyer miles. Lone start on this side of the pond was very good however.
Hungry Island...Should be heard from late.
Tapitsfly.
On dirt: Same.

TENTH RACE - G2 $600K Jim Dandy
Alpha...Question after the G1 Ky Derby was whether that race had exposed the 3YO crop. Since then some of the notable also-rans have done well. Union Rags, Hansen, Trinniberg. We'll look for this guy to bounce back here.
Neck n Neck...Hard to ignore the two wins coming into this - but is he a CD horse-for-course?
Liaison...Dirt is the question mark - but seems in good form now.
Teeth of the Dog.

ELEVENTH RACE
Synthesizer...Moves from NY-bred alw into open claimer.
War Hitch...Solid in last time in second start after claim for Repole/Levine.
Towner...In from CD after the claim by top owner.
Undrgroundregulatr.
Kathty's Kitten.
On dirt: Chasing Moonlight, Undrgroundregulatr, Venture World, Leroidessioux, There Goes Vinny, Praying for Mike.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
