Yesterday

Dark day. No racing.

Today

Mardi Gras at the Spa: French New Orleans ambiance and the spirit of Mardi Gras arrive trackside.

FIRST RACE
Silver Timber...Astute $25K claim in April of 2009. Has won seven times since - including three stakes. 8YO might be getting a little long in the tooth but is dropping in for a tag - and in against NY-breds - for first time since that purchase over two years ago.
Compliance Officer...Claimed three back - two wins since.
Glory Game...Hmmm - won a $150K open stake at Woodbine last year, in only his second career start. Then off for the better part of a year and the comebacker wasn't much. Could win for fun or finish up the track.
Pegasus Tommy D.
On dirt: Head Heart Hoof, Quick Money, Won Great Classic, Glory Game, Chernobyl's Hero.

SECOND RACE
Ducky McLean...With Stormy Atlantic on top she should come out running.
Trashi Diva...Also has precocious breeding and worked 10.1 before 2YO sale.
I'd Lie...Another that worked 10.1 before being sold. Could better this rating with a couple under her belt already.
Flavor Girl.

THIRD RACE
Tackle...If the track still favors speed in the lane this one could be tough to reel in.
Black Diablo...Nice try last time could sigmal him as horse-for-course type.
Starlantic...Could be finding a little class relief here - and could need it.
Freuds Ana Streak.

FOURTH RACE
Raconteur...Worked in 10.3 before sale. Dam has produced two first-out winners.
Win All...ale of the Cat on top.
Quartermain...A half to 2005 Queen's plate winner Wild Desert - but sibs haven't tended to win debut efforts.
Elusive Story.

FIFTH RACE
Emerald Beech...Our Sheppard plat the other day gave us a good run at 10-1 -- but the pace was too slow for that one to successfully close into. We'll take another shot at a Sheppard/Augsutin special.
Snow Top Mountain...Looks like the main danger.
Tarrip...Hasn't won in over a year but looks like a solid fit with these.
Senada.
On dirt: Snow Top Mountain, She Be Classy, Celtic Cross, Marcie Lee.

SIXTH RACE
Fortheloveof Anna...Should be finding some class-relief here.
Need an Angel...Lifetime best Beyer last time and if she can repeat off of the brief layoff she'll be tough in here.
Neat Lightning...Another dropping dow class-wise.
Major Molly.
My Honey Laurie.

SEVENTH RACE
Cosmic King...Ran OK when dropping last time and takes yet another slight drop today.
Pervis...Claimed for $20K after running third earlier in the meet. This bunch isn't really much tougher.
The Man Uptown...Could better this rating moving in for a tag for the first time.
Ahgogo.
Adam Rides Again.
On dirt: Launch N Relaunch, The Man Uptown, Storm Galileo, Settle for Medal, Virging on Stardom.

EIGHTH RACE
Sam Sparkle...Could be interesting on the cutback.
Dawly...In the hunt more often than not.
Goodtimehadbyall...Suspect he's well-spotted in here.
Derivative.

NINTH RACE
Colonialism...Going well this season including a good try here on 7/23.
Ducduc...Should be heard from late.
En Fuego...Capable on best effort.
Screenplay.
Joshua Renholds.
On dirt: Slevin, Ruffino, Slambino, Regal Warrior, Distant Sky, Mine Train.

TENTH RACE Turn Up the Music...Always like the angle of stretching off of two sprints in third start back.
Hershel...The one to catch?
Jake's Shake...'Fresh face factor'.
Cincinnati Kid.
What's the Record.
On dirt: Same plus, Piscesbymoonlight, This Hard Land, Recipe.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
