Yesterday

1-9. Yeesh. Winner in the 1st [$7.30] - but not much else. A long Friday after a good Thursday.

22,114 attended. Sunny and hot.

Today

FIRST RACE
Tahoe Lake...Solid numbers - BUT, do note this his win was on a DQ and he has yet to cross the finish line first. Tepid vote.
Lime Rickey...Has some back class and drops to lowest level yet - off of a good seasonal debut vs better.
Cheyenne Nation...A little bit of a dud last time but capable of better.
Super Doc.

SECOND RACE
Sabercat...Showed expected improvement in second start for Asmussen. Breeding says he'll win sooner rather than later.
Coach Royal...Had trouble in debut. Should move up on grass with Lemon Drop Kid on top.
Longwood Lane...Working well and dam has produced a first-out winner.
Winston C.
Seve.

THIRD RACE
Street Fight...Debut looks like one to build on.
Trade...Another that got some good first-out education.
Currency Swap...Working well and owner - Klaravich - is known to fire with firsters at this meet.
Grandpa Len.

FOURTH RACE
Aprilmayjune...Beyer jumped significantly in first start here last year - a similar jump might be too much to ask, but even a few points will put her in the thick of things.
Must Be Love...Could be the one to catch from the rail.
Speckledbird...Beaten at 5-2 when dropped to this level last time - but had trouble.
Sunnybrook.

FIFTH RACE
Dream Steeler...Talented sibling To Honor and Serve broke maiden in second career start.
Katz My Song...Might have benefitted from 6+ month layoff.
Troilus...Bred to win-early.
Five Sigma Event.

SIXTH RACE
Deferlong...Sire is just starting out - won the LRL Futurity. This one worked 10.2 before 2YO sale.
Flying Zee entry...Goose No Fruit preferred.
Pure Grit...Debuted against open MSW company.
Howie and the Cat.

SEVENTH RACE
Dr Disco...Hmmm. Might be inclined to show his speed off the layoff but we're hoping he can stalk and pounce in a race that looks to have plenty of other speed.
Higher Court...And this is one of those other fast horses.
Quick Money...Also likely to be up front early - and maybe late.
Northern Hammer.

EIGHTH RACE - De La Rose $75K
Deluxe...Faced some good ones in France.
Tapitsfly...2009 BC Juv Filly turf winner has run well in spots this year.
Evading Tempete...Euro-transplant was OK in US debut.
Dynaslew.

NINTH RACE - G1 Test
American Lady...Baffert tough when shipping east. Nice SoCal works five days ago.
Turbulent Descent...Hasn't missed an exacta yet. Dangerous.
Pomeroys Pistol...Could pick up the pieces if things collapse up front.
Roman Treasure.
Her Smile.

TENTH RACE - G1 Whitney Hcp
Rail Trip...In a field full of contenders who can win on their best effort we'll hope this is the one to give that effort. Blazed perhaps too fast, too early last time. More sensible fractions today should help.
Tizway...Will be hard to beat if able to string two together.
Mission Impazible...Probably needs not only his best - but he'll have to step it up a notch. But, both trainer and jock going well at the meet.
Morning Line.

ELEVENTH RACE
Green Monster...Might be interesting with the change of barn, and surface.
Southbeachsandy...Beyers would seem to tab this one as the one to beat.
Bound by Humor...Back at proper level today.
Bud White.
Crea's Law.
Seek to Destroy.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
