Yesterday

No racing.

Today

Day One of the 40-day meet.

(You can review each of the previous seasons' totals here: 2010... 2009... 2008... 2007... 2006... 2005... 2004 ... 2003.)

FIRST RACE
Rocky World...Looking for lightning to strike twice. Trainer upset the opener at the meet last year with a horse sporting a similar Beyer jump to a lifetime best coming into the race.
Boat...Better than latest.
Gamblin Fever...Good closing kick and is in good form now.
Adam Rides Again.

SECOND RACE
Poliziotto...Interesting breeding with a couple sibs that were precocious.
Chardsey...Nice debut effort. Might get a hint from Rocky World in the 1st.
Windafull...Been getting closer. AE list.
Winloc's John Lee.
Fast Grievance.
Stephen's Revenge.

THIRD RACE
Awesome Arceno...Improving Beyers and just missed in a similar event last time.
Winaholic...Also put in a good try at this level.
Stand Proud...Undefeated away from Belmont.
Cure.

FOURTH RACE
Babai Baby...Interesting. Seems to have been aiming for Saratoga.
Valiant Passion...G1-placed last year. Nice work on 7/18.
Wild in Montana...Undefeated and untest in two starts - in 2009!
Precious Soul.

FIFTH RACE
My Miss Aurelia...Half to Albergatti - and that one showed some talent earlier this year for the same connections.
Stopshoppingmaria...Repole/Pletcher runner worked in 21.1 before sale. Dam has produced multiple winners.
Refining...We like Malibu Moon on top - but was unsold at auction for $37K.
I Know You Know.

SIXTH RACE
Short Shrift...Hasn't done much over the jumps - but was pretty good on the grassy flat last year.
Marine Officer...Improved nicely last time.
Storm Galileo...Looks to be searching for a winning level.
Ahgogo.
Pervis.

SEVENTH RACE
The Funky Express...The breeding says this one could pop - but... Trainer doesn't often have them ready to go first-out. Hmm.
Sing Like a Bird...Worked 10.2 before selling for $225K.
Pure Gossip...Likely to be precocious.
Karma Police.

EIGHTH RACE - James Marvin $75K
Aikenite...Seems an improved 4YO and is a 7F specialist.
Gayego...G1 winner has won on this track.
Here Comes Ben...Won the G1 Forego this track and trip last year.
Caixa Electronica.

NINTH RACE - Schuylerville G3 $100K
Georgie's Angel...Churchill debut was impressive.
Force de La Nature...Another good looking debut.
Gypsy Robin...Faltered at Ascot - but should rebound here.
Flashy Lassie.

TENTH RACE

Alfarabi...Drops for Chad Brown who seemed to shop for winning spots early at this meet last year.
Chosen Empire...Fits at the this and should be heard from in the lane.
Hanson Heights...Going well since dropping in for a tag.
Liberty Cap.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
