Yesterday

4-11. Winners in the 1st [$3.30], 2nd [$4.90], 10th [$2.60[ and 11th [$5.90]. Also, cold exacta in the 1st [$20.40/$2]. An A-C exacta in the 2nd [$25.00]. The early double cold [$7.70]. In the 7th a C-B exacta [$38.00]. In the 9th a C-D-A exacta [$114.50] and triple [$382.00]. In the 10th an A-C exacta [$14.00]. The cold late double [$7.70].

21,242 attended. There was a breezy period late Friday/early Saturday that seemed to signal a change in the weather and, sure enough, things were cooler on Saturday than it had been during the prior two or three days and there was no humidity. In fact, there were plenty of jackets and sweaters among the crowds that strolled Broadway after dark to enjoy the Final Stretch music festival.

Today

Long sleeve T-shirt giveaway. Free with admission while supplies last.
Final Stretch music festival continues downtown on Broadway, 7-11pm.

FIRST RACE
AP Ridge...Well, I'm simply not going to let A Sheppard/Augustin runner get away.
Romp...Stakes-level contender in SoCal - not much in east coast debut, but that was a G1. Finds some class relief in here.
Summer Patriot...Another searching for a winning level. Has run well on this turf in the past.
Karakorum Legend...Should be prominently-placed early.
Writingonthewall.
Big Polk a Dot.

SECOND RACE
Eve of Destruction...Precocious breeding and showed some early speed in debut before fading but that might set him up to go on with it today.
Include the Cat...A nice, improved effort when moved to Saratoga.
Texas Aggie...Showed a little bit of life last time.
Sortilege.

THIRD RACE
Bea Bet...Adds blinkers and seems properly spotted at this level.
Pals First Lady...Turf-to-dirt. Dropping down the claiming ladder.
Magdalena Girl...Solid breaking maiden last time.
Delta Holiday.

FOURTH RACE
Il Senatore...Certainly don't like to hang our hats on an 11-time 'loser' - but, like in yesterday's nightcap, this one might just have an edge on these - albeit, not as pronounced as that winner from Saturday.
Won O Won...Debut looks like one to build on.
Brunelli...Seems improved on turf.
Jacob's Dream.
Rappaport.
Beth's Kitten.
On dirt: Raffinator, Gotta Go Round, Won O won, Up for Love.

FIFTH RACE
Ginger Snapit...Just missed in debut. Should benefit from that experience.
Roots Run Deep...Firster with a little bit of breeding goes for Linda rice.
Stray Bullet...Fired a not-so-stray bullet in prep for this.
Soinlovewithuam I.

SIXTH RACE
Unbridled Humor...Bred ton win-early - but admittedly this is a tough task and, really, a head-scratcher of a race.
Chardoniere...Another well-bred runner. Went well on grass last time.
Drifting Away...Still more very interesting breeding.
Lone Tigress.
Smart Farming.

SEVENTH RACE
Ash Zee...We've liked this one since using her in the maiden-breaker at CD in June. Drops from G1 company today and should take this if she's at all ready to run.
Film Charm...Could prove interesting after showing speed going two-turns last time.
North Rodeo...have to think he's better than the latest.
Sneaky Girl.

EIGHTH RACE
Kan N Klear...The drop might bring a rebound to the nice win-form shown in the career debut. But - it's a wide-open race.
Zodiac Girl...Another that has to be considered on the drop.
Mythical Yarn...Two races at the meet - last was the one we hope she repeats.
Lion Club.
My Sweet Emily.
On dirt: Suzanne, Karen's Joy, Goodgollymissdolly, My Sweet Emily, Kan N Klear.

NINTH RACE - Saranac G3 $100K
Fantastico Roberto...Could be the one to catch on a course that has been kind to that type.
Lethal Combination...On the other hand, this one should be heard from in the lane.
Devon Rock...Lightly-raced but seems to have some talent.
Mystic.

TENTH RACE - Spinaway G1 $250K
Valiant Passion...Debut was eye-popping. Gets tested today.
R Heat Lightning...Already has some good stakes experience.
Alientation...Baffert runner is another that is already stakes-placed.
Abide.
Stopspendingmaria/Sky Hosoya.

ELEVENTH RACE
Atlantic Beauty...With a couple under her belt she might last today.
Curlina...OK in turf debut and takes a drop down the claiming ladder.
She's a Ketch...MSW to mdn clm'r.
Collect the Fee.
On dirt: Same.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
