9,589 attended and the heat and humidity continued.

Today

Twilight post time: 2:30pm ET.

FIRST RACE
Money's Sweet/Scale...Money's Sweet just missed in a similar race last time. Scale should appreciate the return to dirt.
Idol Image...Gets some serious - very serious - class-relief in here. so serious in fact that it has to raise some red flags. The kind that could win for fun - or trail the field home.
Zone Breaker...Also dropping here - and another that is a cause for some concern, but this looks more like a shopping mission for a winning spot and perhaps a willingness to lose a horse from an outfit that's otherwise loaded.
Scibelli.

SECOND RACE
Forest Whip...Should benefit from the education last time. Expect better today with the experience and the drop in class.
Nolita...OK debut. Second-start improvement is not out of the question.
Ready and Good/Flying Train... Ready and Good is unlikely having run on Wednesday. Flying Train has some interesting breeding.
Rockabella Song.

THIRD RACE - Saratoga Dew $70K
Banker's Buy...Last seems to indicate he's in good form now.
My Dinah...Expect a rebound on dirt.
Don't Forget Gil...Put together a nice little 3YO season last year. Hasn't shown as much in 2010 - BUT she's very scary trying NY-breds on dirt today.
Big Brownie.

FOURTH RACE
City Sneakers...Won a similar event in wire-to-wire fashion recently and that tactic might prove fruitful again today.
Tom Kitten...Finish last time might just have been a function of the weirdly-run race where the eventual winner hit the gas pedal and opened a huge lead early and never gave up. Won't be surprised to see a better final position for this one today.
Adirondack Warrior...Took a shot in a stake last time and ran OK. A better fit here.
Cookram Rock.
Dontstealmyland.

FIFTH RACE
Simply Delightful...We'll take all of that 5-1 ML if we can get it. It's a tough little race so this gal is no lock - but second-out for Asmussen is a strong angle, and this one is a half to the speedy and precocious Hot Dixie Chick.
Elusive Raven...Second-out for Pletcher off of a nice debut try.
Overseas Market... This lady will certainly help us get our price on the top selection - the excellent near-miss as the even-money fave in the debut makes her dangerous from this win-early outfit.
Plastique.

SIXTH RACE
Buster's Ready...Win-early breeding [at least on the sire end of things, the dam doesn't show anything to speak of yet] and win-early connections. Outside post is a concern.
Hungry Island...Same precocious sire as the top pick - and this one's dam already has produced. This one is a half-sib to Soaring Empire, one that got off to a fast start last year - albeit by winning a dirt sprint in his debut.
Niji's Grand Girl...AE list. Debut looks like one to build on.
Litigating.
Town Flirt.
Sassy Strike.

SEVENTH RACE
Worthy Wager...The turf still seems kind to speed and this one has plenty of that. The question mark here becomes - will Count Catamount get sent and percolate a duel? If this one can clear he should prove a handful late - however, if they duel, well...
Bold Vindication...If the speed does fold this one should be coming in the lane.
British Banker...Beaten fave in a similar race last time. Suspect he's better than that.
Tripp o Steel.

EIGHTH RACE - With Anticipation G3 $100K
Sensational Slam...Debuted in a $150K stake. And won. Followed in a $150K stake. And won. Now stretches and tries turf - but he's done everything right so far for Pletcher and celeb chef Bobby Flay.
Madman Diaries...Another that already has some stakes success.
Powhatan County...Beaten fave in a Monmouth stake - but had trouble in that one.
Air Support.

NINTH RACE
Prince Will I Am...Put in a nice late run here on 8/7 in turf debut. Like the jock switch today.
Silver Mountain...Got ambitious off of the claim last time - but fit here.
Cheyenne Nation...Lightly-raced but always in the hunt.
Ordination.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
