Don't forget to check out the Challenge page where we started the month with a mythical $1000 bankroll and attempt to increase that amount as the Saratoga season continues.

Yesterday

3-10. Winners in 6th [$5.90], 8th [$5.50], and 9th [$5.10]. Also, in the 6th it was a cold exacta [$15.60/$2] and cold tri [$40.00]. In the 8th our "A" selection dead-heated for the win with our "C" selection for a pair of exactas [$20.60, $19.40]. Another cold exacta in the 9th [$17.00].

20,980 attended on a comfortable but overcast afternoon. Some rain spit from the skies very briefly before the featured 9th. Then a more steady light rain started to come down shortly after the card concluded.

Today

FIRST RACE
Consequence...Will be heard from late.
Firey Red...Edged out the top pick last time and might be even tighter today in second start of the season.
Weekend Fantasy...Put in three nice improving efforts after moving to turf - including two wins.
Go Ask Alex.
On dirt: Sneaky Girl, Trix in the City, Hilda's Passion, Ain't Love Grand, Paracaidas.

SECOND RACE
Hurricane Barb...Full sib Enumerate won debut at Churchill last June then followed with a second-place in the G2 Sanford here. This one didn't sell at a 2YO auction earlier this year - but worked in 10.3 at that sale.
Deja Blu...MSW to mdn clm'r and Mott trainees can improve with one under their belts.
Status Pending...Has some win-early breeding - the question mark is the debut for $60K after having been bought for $200K.
Nolita.
Tea Party Gal.

THIRD RACE - Saratoga Special $150K
Kantharos...Has looked like a monster in first two - including a Churchill stake.
Sovereign Default...Big maiden win. Could be this good.
Wetzel...Got some stakes education last time and might have benefitted from the short layoff.
Blue Right By.

FOURTH RACE
Dark Cove...Might wake up with the move in for a tag.
Grand Terror...Showed some speed in debut. Adds blinkers for second start.
D'argento...Has shown life at this level.
Chuckie's Honor.
All My Chips.
Tactical Salute.

FIFTH RACE
Gitchie Goomie...Stretches off of a couple of nice sprint efforts.
Sounds Familiar...Better than latest.
High Cry...Will contend if able to recapture form from last year - and eligible to do so in second start of 2010.
Tutti Va Bene.
On dirt: Laylaben, Grace and Courage, Moshe Diane, Vicarious.

SIXTH RACE
Cover Story...Should fit at this level. Has a good late kick. Must get in from AE list.
Thunder Way...Should appreciate the class relief.
The Flats...Probably has to step it up a little - but won't be shocked if she does.
Cougar Cruise.
My Sweet Emily.
Sit Chilly.
On dirt: Same, add Refinery Fire, Wise Choice underneath.

SEVENTH RACE
Adams Circle...Hmmm. Clunked last time and now drops. We'll roll the dice that some of the talent shown in the prior efforts is still there.
Renewed Hope...Nice effort off of the claim last time. Likely to go well again.
Papa Frita...Capable on best effort.
Run to Grand Ave.
Game token.

EIGHTH RACE
tahitian Warrior...Second to Trappe Shot two back was no disgrace. Big win last time indicated this one's true talent.
Spirit of Cochise...Tries the dirt today. Team won with a SoCal invader here on Sunday.
Great Attack...3YO has shown some talent in limited starts.
Speight of Hand.

NINTH RACE
City Sneakers...Fitness off of the layoff is the question mark - but returns at a level he should find in his comfort zone.
Coronation Day...Just missed in a similar race here earlier in the meet.
Broken Home...AE list. Trainer is very dangerous first off the claim.
Targhee Pass.
Count Catamount.
On dirt: Broken Home, D'bigcat, Devilish Due, Fuzzy's Story, I'm Entitled, Regal Soul, Dixie Nite Out, Morning Run.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
