Don't forget to check out the Challenge page where we started the month with a mythical $1000 bankroll and attempt to increase that amount as the Saratoga season continues.

Yesterday

4-10. Winners in the 3rd [$5.20], 4th ]$4.00], 8th [$3.00], and 10th [$14.40]. Also, an A-C exacta in the 3rd [$43.60/$2]. And a few other gimmicks if you decided to dip a little deeper into the picks.

17,080 enjoyed the mid-week card under overcast skies. Temps were warm and despite the predictions, no rain fell during racing.

Today

Hall of Fame inductions. 10:30am ET at the Fasig-Tipton pavilion on East Ave.

Friday the 13th on track! Various event including a children's costume parade and trick-or-treating for the kids around the track.

FIRST RACE
Winthrop House...Seems to be in good form and should fit with these.
Sly...Similar to top pick - going well and fits here.
Crowned General...Already has a win at the meet -- at just about this level [with some conditions].
Kingsdale Ocean.
On dirt: Belo Sorte, Perfectus, Subtitles, Sly, Winthrop House, The Zipster.

SECOND RACE
Flying Gang...Has some win-early breeding and trainer clicked with a firster here yesterday.
Future Empire...Sire can produce precocious runners. Has some OK works.
Cheeky Mama...Trainer can have them prepped to go first time.
Sweet William.

THIRD RACE - Lake Luzerne $70K
Torrone...Clearly the light bulb went on when making second start and moved in against state-breds. Looks to be capable with contending with this field if able to move forward slightly.
Freud's Notebook...Back on dirt. Looks like the one to beat.
Healthy Debate...Hard to fault the record since the maiden effort.
Tapaline.

FOURTH RACE
Scorper...Took a long time to break the maiden - but was claimed out of that by Rodriguez who is tossing big numbers first off the claim.
Eager Leader...Should be well-spotted at this level.
Warrior Poet...Looks to have been shopping for proper level after breaking maiden - and this could be it.
She's Not Easy.
On dirt: Cruzin With Cash, Warrior Poet, Muy Guapo, Old Kit Bag, Kill the Joker.

FIFTH RACE
General Song...Another drop and off of the latest this should be a winning spot.
Sweat Shop...Two nice improving efforts since returning.
Warrant Ofc Cook...Like the top pick this one drops looking for the proper level.
Intrepid.
On dirt: General Song, Warrant Ofc Cook, Sea of Liquidity, Implied Odds, Intrepid SIXTH RACE
Last Out of Panama...Can't ignore the confidence shown by entering this one in a stake for first start. OK despite trouble there and should go well at the proper level.
Rogue Romance...Has some win-early breeding and a win-early trainer.
Derby Kitten...More of the win-early ingredients.
Cockeyed Rooster.
Air Support.
On dirt: It's Truly Ahvee, Curlinello, Cockeyed Rooster, East Indies, Last Out of Panama, Striding Ahead.

SEVENTH RACE - Hall of Fame G2 $150K
Interactif...Hasn't missed a tri on the turf and was a good second last time to the very talented Paddy O Prado.
Nordic Truce...Lightly-raced but has shown plenty of talent so far - including a G3 win.
Krypton...Just behind the top pick last time and beat the second selection two back - so he's a danger.
Paris Vegas.
On dirt: Colizeo, Interactif, Citrus Kid, Nordic Truce.

EIGHTH RACE
Stroke...With Stormy Atlantic on top he should be ready to run.
Active Trader...These kind make this race a real puzzle - one of a number in here that are dropping from MSW. Trainer's good with that move and this one did show some life at the higher level.
Paperless...Another MSW to mdn clm'r dropper.
Humiarity.

NINTH RACE
Mardi Belle...Another tough puzzle on today's card with horse's shopping for their level. This one is actually moving up = but showed some early speed in debut and has worked well since. We'll roll the dice a little bit in a race that warrants that strategy.
Magdelena Girl...OK third in debut at 5-2 and now comes back for half the tag.
Jacky Juice...Improved nicely in second start and seems well fit at the level.
Sunnybrook.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
