Noble's Promise...Absolutely solid 2YO season - although all on synthetics or turf. However, fired a lifetime best Beyer in dirt/3YO debut. Faltered in the next start, the G1 Arkansas Derby -- but that was a troubled trip. Working well at CD and a rebound in this third start of the season is not out of the question. Breeding is perhaps suspect at the distance -- but we'll give him this shot before deciding that. We have to hope the jock can get him to settle early and not be too close to the expected hot-pace. If so, he might be the one to make the first run.
Awesome Act...Similar scenario to top pick. He showed some ability as a 2YO - on turf and synthetics. Fired a big one in his 3YO/dirt debut. Regressed somewhat in the troubled follow-up -- and could well move forward off of that.
Lookin At Lucky...Lifetime best Beyer in his one dirt try. Hard to discount with the 8-6-1-1 record and the excellent workout reports at CD leading up to this.
Mission Impazible...also reported to be doing very well at Churchill.
Ice Box...That big closing kick could prove useful in this race.

Hot Dixie Chick...A top 2YO filly into late summer last year made a winning return at Oaklawn in March. Needs to step it up off of that but should go well in second start of the year.
Decelerator...Lukas trainee comes in off of a nice season in Arkansas.
Sister Resistor...A couple of duds recently but showed promise earlier. Rebound not out of the question in first start for Dutrow.
Visavis.

Fantasia...Good looking effort in first US start and should build off of that.
Tizaqueena...Two nice winning, improving efforts in minor stakes at FG coming into this.
Diamondrella...Last few have been a little bit disappointing but she fits if able to rebound to best form.

Mona de Momma...Hard to argue that SoCal shippers have had an impact this year.
Informed Decision...Defending champ in this race -- and the defending BC F/M Sprint champ -- fizzled a little bit in seasonal debut.
Warbling...Huge win in a G2 last time signals that this lightly-raced 4YO might be any kind.

Ventana...Another SoCal shipper. Eeked out a gritty G2 win last time. A Beyer jump moving synth-to-dirt is not out of the question.
Musket Man...Just missed in a solid try last time in the G1 Carter Hcp. Now making third start of 2010.
Munnings...Overall has to be rated a little bit inconsistent -- but he's clearly capable on his best.
