Yesterday

4-10. Winners in the 1st [$3.70], 4th [$3.10], 6th [$6.60], 7th [$12.60]. Also, second over third selections in the 3rd for the exacta [$19.80/$2] with our top pick completing the tri [$30.80]. In the sixth our top pick was followed by our third selection [exacta, $24.00] and fourth pick [$96.50]. A nice cold exacta in the 7th [$44.80]. And in the 10th race nightcap it was our third pick over over top choice [exacta, $34.40] with our fourth pick rounding out the tri [$139.00].

A slim crowd of 10,066 showed up on a day that dredged up memories of autumn -- a nice afternoon with plenty of sunshine, but the temps probably didn't break out of the high 60s.

Week Five offered a display of the good and the bad for Best Bets with Wed-Thurs-Fri bringing a total of only four winners -- while Sat-Sun-Mon produced a solid 14 winners on top. The comeback put us in a realisitc position to hit the century-mark by closing day. We'll need to average three winners a day however -- so it should be interesting...

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
