Yesterday

4-10. That's more like it. After being a little light on the win-end on opening day we got back on the horse.... Winners in the 4th ($7.30), 5th ($6.50), 9th ($5.00), and 10th ($7.60). Those picks also combined for rolling doubles in R4-5 ($29.80) and R9-10 ($15.40). Plus. our top two flip-flopped for the $28.60/$2 exacta in the 3rd.

15,746 attended on a near-perfect Saratoga afternoon. Sunny with comfortable temps. The 4th race was moved off-the-turf -- but it was the only casualty of Wednesday's late-day rain.

Today

Friday first post is 2:30pm ET. And the annual Hats Off Festival kicks off Friday night downtown -- with musical acts playing along Broadway (Saratoga's Main Street) from 7-11pm.

It is raining early Friday morning at our location about 30 minutes from Saratoga. Check the skies -- and the track condition, as post time nears.

FIRST RACE
For Free...Seems to fit well at this level and shoulds appreciate the return to the turf.
Linsalata...Plenty of speed.
Quiet Dancer...His turf races have been his two best -- and he woke up with the move in for a tag.
World Gone wrong.
On dirt: World Gone Wrong, For Free, Mustang Fever, Hot and Bothered, Linsalata.

SECOND RACE
Fair Lady Olivia...Has a little bit of precocious breeding and is working well.
Smoke After Six...The Smoke Glacken's can be win-early types and this one might benefit from the first-start education.
Miss Lulu Belle...Sprinting babies is Ward's specialty.
Musicsetsmefree.

THIRD RACE
Morethan Fourhours...Has been competitive. Drops and seems to be shopping for a winning spot.
Cullinan...Mott solid with the potent MSW to mdn clm move.
Live On the Edge...On the improve.
Mendelssohn.
On dirt: Birdrun, St Augustine, All West, Morethan Fourhours, Mendelssohn.

FOURTH RACE
Ready to Party...The breeding indicates that this one should be live today.
It'smyburtday...Also has some precocious breeding.
Whydah...And yet another bred to get the job done sooner rather than later.
Key Quality.
Jill's Kitten.
On dirt: Same.

FIFTH RACE
Frenchonionsoup...Trainer is strong with the MSW to mdn clm angle.
No Detour...Also dropping from MSW.
Silver Jazz...Same here.
Dancing Digits.

SIXTH RACE
Heavenly Vision...Solid debut win here last year -- then faltered when ambitiously placed. Could rebound off the layoff with return to Saratoga and proper company.
Dulcet Tone/Girl Can Rock...Both halves look like they should fit here.
Redreamit...Like top pick this one was ambitiously placed off of a good debut win. Better fit with these.
Maraschino Red.

SEVENTH RACE
Stud Muffin...Should appreciate return to NY-bred company.
Future Prospect...Likely the one to catch.
R Clear Victory...Might have needed the last off of a short break.
Joe Corrigan.

EIGHTH RACE - Lake George G2 $150K
The Best Day Ever...Will be rolling late.
Strike the Bell...Two good starts since returning to the grass.
Mary's Follies...Took a stake in lone turf start.
Kiawah Cat.
On dirt: Be Fair, Ain't Love Grand, Mary's Follies, Strike the Bell.

NINTH RACE

Marq of Love...Looks to have an edge on this bunch.
Nothing Impossible...Back in for a tag.
Icetate...Turf is the question mark -- but looks like a fit with these.
Isittruemoney.
On dirt: Golden Age, IM Boomer, Distant Point, Saratoga Seven, Icetate.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
