Yesterday

4-11. Winners on top in the 1st [$7.10]; 7th [$7.80]; 9th [$2.90]; and 11th [$13.20]. At least a couple 'have-able' tri's in the mix -- in the 1st it was the top pick over the third and second selections [exacta, $28.80/$2; tri, $79.50], and in the nightcap it was a cold exacta [$44.40], followed by the fourth pick for the tri [$174.50]. Also a reverse exacta in the 6th for $19.80.

A spinner-inflated crowd of 45,840 turned out for the stadium-seat giveaway. Some weather early moved the turf races to the main track -- but the latter part of the day remained dry, albeit it a little cool for this time of year.

Today

On-track, an NFL alumni autograph session from 11am - 12:30pm. Off-track, the annual jockeys vs troopers charity softball game starts at 7pm at the Eastside Rec ballfield.

FIRST RACE
Golden Glen...Claimed for $32K two back. Bumped up and moved to grass last time. Back to more appropriate level and surface today.
Fort Carillion...Also seems to be dropping to proper level.
Wood Winner...Another that can be competitive with these.
Gold to Go.

SECOND RACE
Earle's First Girl...Got some good experience in a similar race last time.
Trillian...Impressive in debut. Could be any kind.
Hope Street...Solid in last three dirt starts.
Eightyfive S.

THIRD RACE
Tar Heel Mom...Was that last one for real? We'll know more today -- but she'll be tough if able to repeat.
Cool the Economy/City Spirit...Cool the Economy preferred. Has some early speed and cuts back from 1M today.
Mikeslittlegirl...Drops in for a tag.
One Tough Belle.

FOURTH RACE - Troy $80K
Hellvelyn...Was sprinting against some of the best in the UK. Off since September but trainer OK off the layoff.
Rallying Cry...Been a little bit disappointing the last three -- but is certainly capable.
Salute the Count...Typically in the hunt.
Perfect Casting.
On dirt: Hollywood Left, Rallying Cry, Ferocious Fires, Cougar Cat.

FIFTH RACE
Smokin Hero...First two were pretty good and should be good enough in here unless one of the firsters really jumps up.
Paramedic...Expect improvement today.
Stay Alittle While...Another that should move forward off of his debut.
Remarkable Storm.

SIXTH RACE
Valtrus...The three near-misses most recently all look good enough to get it done in here.
Dirty Water Dog...Showing nice improvement with each start.
Austin Laviva Baby...Gone well on grass.
Stealth Missile.
Calcutta Clipper.
On dirt: Cool Tales, Austin Laviva Baby, Miracle Hill, Stealth Missile, Talkhouse.

SEVENTH RACE
The Third Degree...Have a feeling he's better than the debut effort.
Mr Peterrson...Showed speed before fading a little in what could be a key race. Adds blinkers today.
Bitabaz...Still another that can improvement off of his first start.
Shifty Guy.

EIGHTH RACE
Piazza Di Spagna...Always have to be leery of these stone-cold closers. Sure, he'll be rolling late, but will it be too late? But if he runs back to last and the one three back he just might get it done.
Smart Enuf/Dubliner...Smart enuf preferred. Lightly-raced and improving.
Beneath the Crown...Could be dangerous on the stretchout.
Cardinal Hill.
Sammy's Toy.
On dirt: Cardinal Hill, Wishful Tomcat, Criminal Power, Special Tesoro, Smart Enuf/Dubliner.

NINTH RACE
Winning Point...Disappointed in 4YO debut. We'll give her another shot.
Boca Grande...Never quite lived up to the promise shown in the 2006 G2 Demoiselle but she's capable in here.
Are We Dreamin...Kind of have to ignore the latest.
Sumthingtotalkabt.

TENTH RACE
Debbie H...Decent breeding and a steady string of works.
There Are Rainbows...Firster from Pletcher.
No Speed Limit...Trainer is good with 2YOs. Expect improvement.
Just Livin a Dream.
True Bliss.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
