Yesterday

No racing. Dark day.

The Fasig-Tipton yearling sale continued Tuesday night. Another pleasant night weather-wise brought out a fine crowd to watch the proceedings and the grounds were abuzz when Hip 158, a colt by Storm Cat, sold for $2mil.

Today

The Fasig-Tipton yearling sale continues Tuesday night at 7pm ET. The public is invited.

No racing. Dark day.

FIRST RACE
Know the Game...Seems in good form now. Moving up slightly -- but has faced better in the past. Given a slight edge over the second pick.
Hard Moonshine...Moving into a good level and will be dangerous.
Sacrifice Bunt...If he's right he will be very tough. But... Dropped into a claimer last time and fizzled. Hmmm.
Fly the North Wind.

SECOND RACE
Westward Go...Last couple seem to indicate he's figuring things out.
Exchanging Kisses...Plenty of early speed and stretching from sprints.
Tanganyika...Could be dangerous dropping from MSW.
Coastal Flare.
On dirt: Coastal Flare, Distant Shine, Tanganyika, Al Sheetahn.

THIRD RACE
Quiet Mover...Turf-to-dirt. Dropping.
Spiritual Spirits...Has been live at this level.
Vicarious...Could be interesting dropping from NY-bred MSW.
Strand of Gold.

FOURTH RACE
Schopenhauer...Showed some promise in UK.
Good Request...A couple of good seconds in last two.
Royal Lord...Should be rolling late.
Mischief.

FIFTH RACE
Thats a Good Thing...Always like these DQ'd winners coming back in maiden races -- although note, it was an easier event last time.
True Ally...MSW to mdn clm'r.
Midtown Bailey...Could be ready to run.
Yes I'm Clever.

SIXTH RACE
Driven by Success...Improved through first three and now first-out for Levine.
El Tamberito...Nice improvement last time off a short layoff.
Narration...The 'fresh face'.
Afrikaner.

SEVENTH RACE
Big Flirt...Trainer's specialty is firsters. Slight nod on that angle in a very tough event.
Zensational...Worked in 10.1 before selling for $700K earlier this year.
Kensei...Also worked in 10.1 before selling this year.
Speed Limit.

EIGHTH RACE
Sarah's Prize...Stepped it up last time in her second of 2008 and her second on turf.
Quiet Alice...Win last time could indicate she's finally getting the hang of it.
Nehantic Kat...Beyers moving in the right direction in 2008 starts.
Tourism.
On dirt: Sarah's Prize, Quiet Alice, Sky Copper, Tourism, My Little Dragon.

NINTH RACE - Cab Calloway $150K
Cannonball...Open-company stakes winner should boss NY-breds -- but cross-country trips are always a concern.
Doc N Roll...Has improved on turf.
Brookhaven's Money...Won a somewhat similar race -- on dirt -- in May. Will be tough if takes to the grass.
Gold Vendetta.
On dirt: Almighty Silver, Brookhaven's Money, Phobia, Gold Vendetta, Fortune Faded.

TENTH RACE
Iron Curtain...Has early speed and has a couple of decent, improving tries at this level.
Please Impress...Should appreciate return to state-bred company.
Too Tough Pete...I'll give some credit to that race two back -- but we'll find out more about him today.
Karakorum Tornado.
On dirt: Hawkwood, Thunder Buddy, In the Spotlight, Too Tough Pete, Vee El Tee.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
