Yesterday

5-11. We thought more than a few races yesterday looked wide-open -- but the betting public disagreed and luckily we were onboard some of those winning faves. Winners on top in the 3rd, $3.80; 7th, $3.70; 8th, $4.40; 10th, $2.80; 11th, $6.20. The last two produced a cold late double of $9.20/$2. We also had two cold exactas [10th, $9.20].

We did manage to shake things up for a price if the odds attracted you into boxing things up in the 5th where it was our third over our second over our fourth selections for a $3167.00/$2 tri.

Indian Blessing was super impressive running away in the stretch of the G1 Test.

We'll have to see -- but now that the calendar page has turned it looks like perhaps the crowds might follow. A solid 25,020 attended and had luck on their side -- regardless of what they bet. Weather forecasts called for afternoon showers, but the rain held off... Until just after the nightcap. It was probably less than ten minutes after the 11th race was completed that a shower sent fans scrambling to their cars -- or back inside for some simulcast action! The rain only lasted about fifteen minutes and post-race fun continued unabated at all the usual spots around town.

Today

FIRST RACE
Cable...The debut was impressive enough to think she's capable of going through this first condition quickly.
Diverse...Found a home on the grass.
Song of Love...Half-sis to Nobiz Like Shobiz showed talent in debut.
Impressionism.
On dirt: Song of Love, Bound To, Impressionism, Diverse.

SECOND RACE
Wicked Spicey...Trainer can have them ready to go.
Miss Bodine...Baffert filly just missed in debut at 3-5. Dangerous.
Abigail's Gold...Pletcher firster cost $300K as a yearling.
Outside.

THIRD RACE
Sightseeing...We've had this guy on top a number of times - and as you can see by the 2-win record, that's cost us. But, just looks to have an edge on these.
Smokeyjonessutton...Has some back numbers that fit here. Gone OK over the track.
Past the Point...Hasn't lived up to 3YO season yet this year -- but note he gets back onto dirt today.
Ketchikan.

FOURTH RACE
Rubinstein...Sire is off to a good start. This one is working well and trainer does OK first out of the box.
Rereadthefootnotes...Still early to come up with stats on the sire but Crib Note sure looked good the other day, so the sire might be something to keep an eye on. Aoja...Like top pick he's by Lion Heart and he's working well.
JT Moore.

FIFTH RACE
Righteous Tiger...Longtime maiden is a shaky proposition -- but he might have this race in a stranglehold pace-wise. Could take them all the way.
Ground Frost...Shown some modest flashes -- and he seems better than the record indicates.
Gloss...In a field of longtime maidens this lightly raced 4YO might still have more upside than the rest.
Forest Echoes.

SIXTH RACE
Dark Sky...Good speed in the debut.
Live Life Outloud...Firster on grass from Pletcher.
Phi Beta Mom...Looks like we can toss the debut. Last was probably more like it and makes him dangerous today.
Kewland.
Cocktail Attire.
On dirt: Dark Sky, Splash of Colour, Cocktail Attire, Kewland.

SEVENTH RACE
Survived...Looks spotted to win.
Sax in the City...In good form now.
Melissa's Dream...Likely the one to catch.
Just a Little Jet.
On dirt: Melissa's Dream, Sugarless, Survived, Wundelia.

EIGHTH RACE
Sorority Sister...Look for the wake-up with the move in for a tag.
CT Phone home...Also looking for some class relief.
Catchuptothesun...Similar move to the top two. Also going turf-to-dirt.
Crazy Thing.

NINTH RACE - Fourstardave G2
Danak...Look for a rebound to the Euro form.
Cosmonaut...This looks like a wide-open event. This guy is very classy -- but it's going to come down to the pace. Looks like there is plenty of speed in here so hopefully this one can sit just off and get first jump.
Red Giant...Showed promise as a 3YO.
Prince Rahy.

TENTH RACE
Dulcet Tones...Impressive breaking maiden.
Break Point...Perhaps a little over-matched last time. Also might appreciate return to sprinting.
Elope...Could be any kind.
Nursery Rhyme.

ELEVENTH RACE
Bartletts...Drops back in for a tag.
Rushing Stag...Dangerous on the class drop.
Westward Go...Should be rolling late.
Fenaghville.
All Verses.
On dirt: Bartletts, Hostile Takeover, Chaysen' Alex, Easy to Say No.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halves are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
