Yesterday

2-10. Two winners on top and a few -- very few -- selected gimmicks, as we tread water for most of the card. The highlight was probably the $55.50/$2 cold exacta in the 6th.

A spinner-inflated crowd of 63,599 enjoyed not only their giveaway umbrellas, but still one more fine day weather-wise. Temps were seasonably cool, yet still nice, with plenty of sunshine.

Today

FIRST RACE
Montauk...Makes the potent drop from MSW to mdn clm'r.
Forza Bruta...Back to dirt -- where he seems best.
Bonwell...You can do worse than go with the first-timer in a field like this.
Deckmate.

SECOND RACE
Sibley...Expect improvement now that she has one under her belt.
Stormy Catch...Jumped up when switched to turf.
Mine Or Who's...Won't be surprised to see this one take to the turf.
Dose of Reality.

THIRD RACE
Silence Dogood...Has been facing some nice ones.
Partida...Talented and improving.
Frankel entry...Both halves look capable on best efforts.
Jersey Bond.

FOURTH RACE
Golden Tablet...Hmm, $360K purchase earlier this year moves into the claiming ranks for Zayat/Mott. Red flags -- but the move is potent and this one has faced some nice ones so far.
Ectoplasm...Could come out running.
Lucrative Deal...Yet another moving from MSW to mdn clm'r.
Stand Pat.

FIFTH RACE
Savasana...The red flagsa are really flying here... Ran well last year in MSW company now comes back for a tag. Looks clearly the best if all the wheels are on -- but that's the question...
Victory for Sierra...Typically in the hunt.
Grand Cayman...Last two -- both at this level -- have been competitive.
Too Tired Tonight.
On dirt: Winloc's Irene, Are We Dreamin, Too Tired Tonight, Kitty Nip, Find the Chestnut.

SIXTH RACE
Three Lions...Still another on the card going MSW to mdn clm'r.
Brogue...Same angle as the top pick.
American Cruiser...Should show some early speed from the rail.
Kal El.
On dirt: Coastal Flare, Brogue, Giveityourbestshot, Triple Nine Fine, Max's Bid.

SEVENTH RACE
War Monger...Last two have been solid.
Codeword...Just missed in latest and a repeat puts him in the thick of this.
Gold Trippi...Seemed to like the grass.
John's Song.
Mister White Socks.
On dirt: Gold Trippi, Mistyer White Socks, Jamaican Kev, War Monger.

EIGHTH RACE - Union Ave
Magnolia Jackson...Graded stakes winner should fit well here.
Precise Lady...Comes off of a nice win over the track.
Stolen Star...In the exacta more often than not.
Lovely Dream.

NINTH RACE
Party Jones...Been solid since switching to grass.
Dancing Tin Man...Looked good the last couple of times in these conditional claimers.
Quick Comeback...Could be the one to catch -- but must negotiate trip from the outside post.
Pegase Jem.
On dirt: Tahoe Warrior, Marrouche, Cockney Gambler, Bruce Tickets.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halve are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
