Yesterday

No racing. Dark day.

Today

It's Women's Day at the track with a host of activities pertaining to women's related issues and trends.

FIRST RACE
Marco's Tale...Won pretty easily for $20K only seven days ago. Now comes back for $35K -- but should make the jump successfully since he probably won the latest on back class.
Coach Kent...We mentioned in our Monday re-cap that we got sucked into using a Pletcher runner on Monday dropping into a claimer -- and the red flags were waving because the stock in that barn isn't meant for the claiming ranks. So we won't use this guy on top -- but he does look dangerous regardless.
Rocky Blue...Turf-to-dirt. Cutting back to a sprint. some angle to like.
Corryville.

SECOND RACE
Tre' Bon Pro...Two decent tries so far. Could be tough if he finally breaks clean. Jock switch a BIG plus.
Quick Humor...Sire does well with debut runners.
Navy Miss...Expect improvement.
Simply Preferred.

THIRD RACE
Wild Fit...Skipped G1 Test in order to comeback in an easier spot. This is it.
Frankel entry...Citronnade preferred and looks like the tougher part of the entry but Sugar Swirl might have added some maturity during the break.
She's Indy Money...3YO debut was impressive.
Heavenly Psalm.

FOURTH RACE
Ice Man Cometh...Violette/Klaravich have scored here the past couple of years with firsters coming out of 2YO sales. Interesting.
Cowtown Cat...$1.5 mil out of a 2YO sale himself. By a win-early sire. From Pletcher. Clearly the one to beat.
Great Discovery...Nice steady string of works.
Mint Slewlep.

FIFTH RACE
Nelson St Swing...Eligible to wake-up moving down from MSW events.
Stratonic...AE lister. Showing nice improvement with each start. Liked the grass last time. Big jock switch.
Noble Duty...Wouldn't be a shock to see a Euro-shipper dominate in a race like this -- but long layoff and spotty running record makes this guy iffy.
Ready Read.
Bold Love.

SIXTH RACE
Be a Believer...These turf sprints have become a little bit of a specialty for the trainer. Filly should appreciate drop into a claimer. And 8/1 work stands out.
Texas Breeze...Improving numbers with each start. Could be dangerous if she takes to the turf. But as noted earlier -- claiming game is not where Pletcher excels.
Heavenly Anna...Will appreciate the return to grass.
Exclusive Wildcat.

SEVENTH RACE
Prince Raffie...Good, improving form since moving to turf.
One Good Man...Has been pretty solid in recent starts and figures to be in the mix again.
Gulch Fever...Looks like one that seems to have gotten the hang of it.
Fairway Drive.

EIGHTH RACE -- Adirondack BC G2 $200K
Chagall...Expect that she benefitted from the stakes experience in her second career start.
Richwoman...Hard to fault the undefeated record which includes two sakes wins -- one in SoCal. Impressive for a 2YO filly. Beat top pick last time.
Magical Ride...Is she the real deal? We'll know more today. Has to overcome the outside post and gives up an edge in experience to the top two.
Post Invader.

NINTH RACE
Saturday's Cat...Near-miss effort in only turf try could signal a good effort for today's return to that surface.
Stately Pegasus...Looks like the one to beat. Should benefit from off-the-turf start last time and shows a solid prep on 8/10.
Jelly Roll Rumble...AE lister. Has been in the hunt since switching to turf.
Bachelornumberone.
Egyptian King.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halve are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
