Yesterday...

Saturday was tough. sunday was tougher.

No excuse in the early double. Just go beat there.

In the 4th, our pick was announced as running with a bar shoe -- not a real confidence builder for a bettor... In the 5th our top pick Fernando Po ran a little greenly down the stretch but looked a potential winner each time the jock got her straighted away. Perhaps the last straw was when one of our exacta box plays, Giant Chieftain gave away almost certain victory by veering in from of Po. Goodbye win. S'long exacta. Doh!

... In the Grand Slam we had three winners -- inclunding the slam leg -- but we couldn't get Rewrite on the board in the 8th. Probably the most-likely-to-win prospect on the entire card -- she was a dud. And in the nightcap we ran 1-2-4-5 in the tri...

RACE 1/2... $3 DD... R1/It's the Ritz/Gameboye... R2/Bitter Lemon/Awesome Ashley.
Ran R1/4-6... R2/2-3.

RACE FOUR... $5 WP on What's That Marnie.
Ran 4th at 9-5 [announced late as running in a bar shoe... ugh].

...$5 quinellla... What's That Marnie/Dixieland Squall.
Ran 4-5.

RACE FIVE... $5 WP on Fernando Po.
Ran 3rd at 2-1 [plenty of trouble -- early and late -- and still looked capable of winning].

...$2 exacta box... Fernando Po/Rocket Legs/Giant Chieftain.
Ran 3-4-7 [again Po could have won -- and Giant Chieftain probably would have won if not for veering out late].

RACE 6-9... $5 GS... R6/Massoud... R7/My Belonging... R8/Rewrite... R9/Golden Commander/Dave/Certifiably Crazy.
Ran R6/WON... R7/WON... R8/6th... R9/WON-2-4.

RACE SEVEN... $5 WP on My Belonging.
Collected $31.00 on the WP [$8.60, 3.80].

RACE TEN... $1 tri box... Mascot/Rocky Blue/Armament/Eye for Style sub Validator and/or Kris Angel respectively, if scratch.
Ran 1-2-4-5.

Loss for the day... $67.00

RACE FOUR... $5 WP on Cagey Girl.
...$5 quinella box... Cagey Girl/Belle Harbor/Fiona Freud.

RACE NINE... $5 WP on Nunnery.
...$3 WP on Lisas Medal [can't let a potential Sheppard Special slip by].

...$1 tri box Nunnery/Hunsa/Grand September/Doryphar sub Lisas Medal if scratch.

All turf wagers are turf only

Total bet...$93.00

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halve are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
