Yesterday

3-9. Three winners on top [2nd, $6.40; 3rd, $2.90; 9th, $8.70). With a steeplechase as the 1st, our winners in the 2nd and 3rd combined for the bonus early double [$10.20/$2). In the 3rd our selections finished 1-2-3-4 in order for a $11.40/$2 exacta and $47.20/$2 tri. In the 5th our top two flip-flopped for the exacta [$33.40/$2] and our fourth choice completed the tri [$320.00/$2]. And in the nightcap we had the cold exacta [$23.60/$2] with our fourth pick rounding out the tri [$73.00/$2] and our third selection completing the super [$147.00/$2].

Attendance was 15,406. The predicted afternoon T-storms never materialized. Weather was warm, partly cloudy, and the humidity continued.

Today

There was rain in the area overnight.

FIRST RACE
Sabre Baby...Seems to have the edge on this bunch in his current form.
Willard Straight...Likely to wake up dropping in for a tag and returning to track he likes.
L'Oiseau d'Argent...Stakes-level performer is eligible to run a big one.
Proud Man.
On dirt: Kennel Up, Upturn, Watchmon, Approved by Dylan, Em B Aye/My Snookie's Boy.

SECOND RACE
Page Six Obsessed...Songandaprayer offspring can be precocious and this gal has some decent works leading into this. But tread lightly -- she cost $75K at auction and goes for $50K today.
Bedside Story...Has been showing some improvement and now drops in for a tag.
Kera's Cookie...The bullet work last week stands out.
Stresa/Proud Silver.

THIRD RACE - Ashado $70K
Summerly...Was vying for 3YO filly title early last year. Off since July and that's a concern. Gets very tepid nod based on class.
Yolanda B Too...Likes this track but still mostly unproven at two turns.
In the Gold...With the early speed in here her closing kick could prove useful -- and we might have rated her higher but she's struggled somewhat this season.
Dance Fee.

FOURTH RACE
Pay Attention...Claimed two back. Looks like they learned a little something about him in last and now drop to a spot that looks like it should be in his comfort zone. Run Red Run...2-2. Takes another step up the condition ladder - but this group has no world-beaters. Shuffling Maddnes...Second in rich NY-bred stake at F'Lakes in latest. 3YO facing older -- but he's beaten the elders already. Raffit/Tommasi. FIFTH RACE
Humorous Venture...AE lister will have to overcome an outside post if he draws in -- but sire, and trainer -- have win-early numbers.
Caught Red Handed...Similar scenario to top pick.
Wynsome Wesley...Always impressed when a 2YO fires off a couple of bullet works.
Miss Vanity.
Abbyroar.
Laurentide Ice.

SIXTH RACE
My Own Story...Needs to bump up those Beyers but they're always eligible to do so moving from MSW to mdn clm.
Burletta...Could be interesting stretching out off of a couple of dirt sprints.
Litethenight...Woke up on the grass last time.
Hollywood Tale.
On dirt: Burletta, My Own Story, Gilded Thread, Preacher's Tale.

SEVENTH RACE
Sorority Wildcat...After showing some promise early in her career she's thrown in three straight duds. Add blinkers and might wake-up with the class relief.
Gator's Tracks...Could be the one to catch.
Mystic Mirage...Has rounded into top form.
Early Hatch.
On dirt: Magic Momentum, Early Hatch, Act as If, Elkhorn.

EIGHTH RACE - Capote Belle $70K
Baby Bird...Has looked special ripping off first two.
India...Might wake-up with return to track where she ran a huge maiden-breaker last summer.
Khalila...Capable of contending with return to earlier top form.
Gleaming Elegance.

NINTH RACE - Honorable Miss G2 $150K
Reunited...Looked like a star in the making up until last two. Think she's better than those however.
Stormy Kiss...Certainly capable on best.
Miss Elsie...Hasn't missed a check in quite awhile.
Ever Elusive.

TENTH RACE
Sugar Slam...NY-bred started career in Ireland. Off since October but should find some class relief facing state-breds here.
Bachelornumberone...Seems improved as a 3YO.
Roscommon Express...Turf tries have been his best.
Distinctive Sandy.
On dirt: Sugar Slam, Roscommon Express, In the Service, Lookmeintheeye, Bronxdale.

If we are interested in both halves of an entry -- in event of a scratch -- it is noted that way [in other words, both halve are named]. If only one-half of the entry is named, then we prefer that half and will move to our next pick listed [rather than the other half of the entry] in event of a scratch.
