Yesterday...

We have been flirting with some nice scores the past few days. Certainly we can't complain with a $250+ afternoon but folks -- we were half a length short of calling the P6 cold!

Our $10 P6 ticket below singled the first four winners! At that point we moved into the 10th race with two going -- 4-1 Flaming Springs and even-money fave One Eyed Joker. We were happy with the play. Flaming Springs looked live at the top of the stetch but seemed to hang a little. Meanwhile One Eyed Joker just couldn't quite get it in gear in the lane, that is until about the eighth pole. Then the horse came to life and was closing like a freight train along the rail but he ran out of ground. Thirty more yards and it's his race. As it was our top pick went on to capture the finale and we had the $325.50 conso P5/6 cold. However, that was a significant drop off from the $43,462.00 P6 payout. Oh, so close...
