We started the 2003 Saratoga thoroughbred race meet with a mythical bankroll of $1000. Each day we'll use this space to record our mythical best bets and calculate the accumulated wins and losses.

Yesterday...

It's been a long tie 'tween drinks for us -- at least a season or two -- but finally a Sheppard Special comes through. The Sheppard/Augustin runner in the 3rd was our only winner on top over on the Picks Page -- but it worked out well, scoring at 8-1 and giving us a couple of exacta tickets.

Collected $58.50 on the WP (19.20, 4.20).
