YOU ARE THERE Check out the new YOU ARE THERE feature. We bring you the action, both on-track and off, for the entire Saratoga race meet.

Yesterday

1-10. Our very chilly start to Week Five continues. We felt that it was time for some favorites to go down -- but we've jumped off of some of the wrong ones, and stayed with some that have gone down to defeat. However, we're in the same boat with a lot of the other public handicappers. Virtually everyone had Frankel's Wild Spirit in the G1 Personal Ensign. But the Giant Killer did it again, scoring with 11-1 Passing Shot in a photo. In the 1st race it would have been tough to have 46-1 Arjay's Flag. In the 4th most everyone missed 8-1 Sisti's Pride -- frustrating because it was the top combo of the meet, Pletcher/Velasquez. And so it went throughout the afternoon.

Winner in the 8th (3.40). It was our third choice over our top pick in the 5th for a $18.40/$2 exacta and our second choice completed the $46.60 tri.

On-track, 23,254 folks enjoyed another nice afternoon. The TV forecasters said we would get an afternoon shower -- but it remained sunny and hot throughout.

After the races a big crowd of revelers kicked off Travers weekend at Siro's. Later on the action moved downtown for the new Off Broadway Festival which attracted a large crowd.

Today

A gorgeous stakes laden card for Travers Day. Sure, the two top guns are out of the big race -- but it's still a great, competitive card of racing.

Post time is 12:30pm ET for the 12-race card.

There's a guaranteed $1 mil Pick Four. And there's a $80K carryover in the Pick Six.

FIRST RACE
Seeking The Glory...Two races so far -- a just-miss debut, followed by a nice score, both as the chalk. Post time is the only knock today.
Reride...Will contend and has a far more favorable post than the top pick.
Elyon...Consistently in the mix.
Limone Forte.

SECOND RACE
Bold Love...Pletcher/Velasquez 2YO gets a fast track -- and it might be interesting to see if that Birdstone race can be a key.
Ghost Mountain...Showed marked improvement in second start and Zito runners have been going well lately.
Bwana Charlie...Ran third last time as chalk after a bad break. Wouldn't be a shock going for strong 2YO trainer.
Good Reward.

THIRD RACE
Abreeze...Tough call but this guy has faced top company in the past and put together two big wins at Belmont earlier this summer. Grass is a little bit of a question mark though.
Warleigh...Strong win here on 7/28.
Full Flow...Wouldn't be surprised to see a little improvement in fourth start off of bench.
Battier.

FOURTH RACE
Summer Scene...Another one of the day's many tough calls. Started career in very promising fashion last fall. Then moved in with Frankel and bombed in stakes debut. Off since -- but if able to re-capture that early form she'll be tough. Layoff and trainer's recent form here a concern though.
Sweet Screamer...Might be moving back to a preferred trip.
Kuanyan...It will be interesting to see how she does being reunited with jock that rode her to big maiden win.
Hope for Love.

FIFTH RACE
Epicentre...Has two good-looking tries under belt since moving stateside.
Thefull Circle...A head behind top pick last time. Likes the distance. Likes the track. Always in the hunt.
Devious Indian...Layoff is a concern but trainer is always worth a look on the grass.
He's Crafty.

SIXTH RACE
Special Rate...Another Frankel runner -- like Summer Scene -- that had two good tries followed by a dull effort. It becomes a question of ability to recapture prior good form. If able to, he's tough. We'll see...
Flying Jazz...Seems to be improving with each start. Spacing of races is a concern -- but if able to move forward yet again he might offer some value.
Mister Deux...Looking at his last it seems like he might appreciate the extra furlong.
Pretty Wild.
Bookmaster.

SEVENTH RACE
She's Zealous...Throw out the dull try in the slop and this gal has two very nice wins. Tested today for class but might be this good.
Double Scoop...Horrible post -- but has yet to miss the board in six starts, including a couple of stakes.
Country Romance...Also has been on the board in six tries. Also has bad post -- but shows some speed and might get sent early.
Chimichurri.

EIGHTH RACE
Sea Of Showers...3-3 since coming the US. Off awhile -- but won off a similar layoff last time. However, will need best effort with her come from behind style.
Wonder Again...Expect a rebound from last with cutback in distance.
Snow Dance...Like Wonder Again ran uncharacteristically dull in Diana and should get back to good form today.
Quick Tip.

NINTH RACE
Trademark...Looks like he's become accustomed to America with convincing stake win here 7/25. Wins this with a repeat effort.
Tam's Terms...What more can you say -- undefeated since moving to the turf.
War Zone...Frankel turfer nipped the top choice in Poker last time.
Finality.
Patrol.

TENTH RACE
Posse...Came into the Amsterdam as a top sprinter. Ran fourth after never really getting into the hunt. Expect an improvement with a try over the track and a return to preferred trip.
Zavata...Banged a huge win in the Amsterdam. A repeat makes him formidable -- but distance is a question mark.
Ghostzapper...Frankel trainee gets a test today -- but is certainly expected to do good things.
Valid video.

ELEVENTH RACE -- THE TRAVERS
Sky Mesa...Abbreviated 2YO season pointed to this one as a top performer. Belated return brings this one into the Travers off of two improving efforts.
Ten Most Wanted...Should get a decent pace scenario and be rolling late.
Peace Rules...Quality runner from Frankel is coming out of Haskell win. Will have company on the front end however and the distance is his knock.
Strong Hope.

TWELFTH RACE
Western Fling...Taking a little bit of a flyer here -- but this has the Sheppard Special scenario we like to see and the trainer has had a few come out ready to roll over the past week.
Sleeping Potion...A couple of good tries since moving to turf. Makes third start of season. Reunites with top mid-Atlantic jock.
Go Deputy...Tough customer from Pletcher/Velasquez if able to get in from AE list.
Summer Slew.
Solar Man.
Pike Place Gold.
