We started the 2003 Saratoga thoroughbred race meet with a mythical bankroll of $1000. Each day we'll use this space to record our mythical best bets and calculate the accumulated wins and losses.

Finally had one of our nightcap trifecta plays payoff. We scored with the key of our top pick over our next four choices. Hit it for $1. We would have had a $2 score if the show photo had gone the other way. We also would have collected $890.00/$2 if we'd juiced the wager up into superfecta territory. But we'll take the decent score and run with it...

Ran R1/Eased... R2/5th.

RACE SIX... $5 exacta box... Proud Beauty/Trillion Wing. Cancel if Proud Beauty scratches.
Ran 2-6.

RACE NINE...$1 tri key... Russian Sweetiepie over I Met Somebody/Titia/High Post/Ms Rapunzel.
Collected $154.25 on the tri key ($308.50/$2).

Doh! Ran 1-2-4-6 with our sub selection winning the show photo!

We'd love to bet into the turf races today -- but, frustratingly, we have at least a couple picks on the AE's in each of them. That makes it tough.
